[It's an interesting place, alright. It reminds him of that flashy ship that his former boss owned, so even though he's enjoying what it has to offer, there's a bit of distaste in his expression as well. He's dressed in a light blazer on top of a collared shirt, poring over the goodies they have for the buffet, before he turns - almost right into Vanitas. He backs off, offers a laugh and an apologetic gesture.]

[Steinbeck is wandering around with chocolate box in hand, looking a little pensive, until he sees a familiar (carrot) face - he beelines right over, grinning.]

1. FORAGING (FOR BETTER THINGS, THOUGH MUSHROOMS ARE COOL)
[He SHOULD be doing this. Foraging isn't even that hard for him. But sometimes, a guy wants to be lazy, and so here he is out in the fields, working on something in his lap.]
[If anyone steps up, he'll raise what he's holding - it's a flower crown, woven from some of the wildflowers and random flowers of the forest.]

2. RESORT (TO YOUR OWN THOUGHTS TO GET THROUGH THIS)
[When he's not out dating, Steinbeck can be found walking around the resort, or even flopping back on a bed, glancing around at all the luxury, the nice rooms. Though everything seems beautiful and everything is in abundance, he seems..conflicted, somehow, his expression a little tighter for a usually cheerful guy.]
[If you find him, he won't even pay attention for a moment, looking pensive.]
....Reminds me of him.
[And that's all he'll say, unless prompted to say more. Otherwise, he can be found gorging himself on the food and hanging around the baths, but he seems a little hesitant to get in if anyone else is around that he doesn't know.]
3. THE WAVES OF MEMORY, LIKE ENDS OF A TIDE
[Occasionally, since it doesn't seem like he's done with his own thoughtful journey here, Steinbeck can be found sitting on the beach, watching the waves come in and out. Whoever approaches will get a glance over his shoulder, before he offers a shrug, and a quiet:]
Do you miss home?

[dm me for all the steinbeck you want or need, throw me a prompt, WHATEVER U WANT! steinbeck's chocos cause people to break out in song and dance if you want to play with that!]

[ the chocolates aren't a bad gesture, he thinks. initially, he thought of it as something akin to a token of affection from the goddess, but he sees that is all but mistaken. (sad...) not that this was bad either. especially, when a familiar face greets him. ] Hey! Well, you know, same as always.
Kinda wish there was a little more excitement, but can't complain. [ besides, he comprehends that not everyone would be all too pleased with his idea of stimulation. regardless, he does recalibrate himself to ask something he was wondering about prior to steinbeck calling out to him. ]

[ Steinbeck isn't the only one with distaste on his face; Vanitas certainly has it too. He's leaning back on a while, sipping on a cup of water -- too close to a corner, apparently, because someone turns the corner and almost knocks him right in the face.
Vanitas steps back, alarmed, but upon seeing who it is... ]
