It's about—

[ Yuri pauses not because she's right. He has a normal amount of pride, but it isn't so much that he's incapable of being humble at the right time.

No. It's the possibility that the other two, should they also give it their all, wouldn't be seen as enough, just for being themselves. For being genuine about why they are here, and why they love who they do. But even if he can say 'I love x' better than some people, he's not a poet. Never was, never will be.

He does not consider the goddess a malicious entity, but this is all subject to her whims. If he doesn't have a healthy amount of skepticism or desire for his loved ones to be treated rightfully, and backs down, won't he regret it? Anyway, his luck doesn't win out because he rolled too low here (why is his luck this bad, we don't know.) But he's going to be kicking and swinging his sword at it all the while to try to make it let go. Assuming it was probably just grabbing again. ]

It's about them getting the damn respect that they deserve! And that I'm not the type of guy to give up on them for any reason. I don't care how many times I have to say it. I'm going to get the feather and get married to them, got it?!

[ All things considered, he's actually getting a little embarrassed getting so damned heated about it but here we are. ]
