He doesn't respond when Mishka makes that remark. With the glasses in his hands, not back on his face yet, he looks up at him. He doesn't even remember his own expression when they first exchanged names. That memory has been buried beneath all the others. Still he doesn't know what the look on the other man's face is, and he decides it's better that way.

At the suggestion of hair, Trahearne only nods. And in the moments Mishka is gone, he covers his face with his hand, the cool of the skin a welcome relief on the heat of his cheeks. Why is he reacting like this? What is going on?
