[ He Xuan doesn't even want to be here in front of a damned crowd. To top it off, he extremely loathes appealing to a goddess, of all people? What a joke. He also sincerely despises speaking at length either. This is like, the opposite of anything he wanted, ever. But all the same he wishes not to be corralled into a singular place like some kind of overgrown child, so he moves quietly and quickly, though he doesn't spare time for niceties or any such things. This is a challenge more difficult than something he can solve as a being who can cause great destruction.

But, no matter how much he dislikes the arena, that does nothing to shake his conviction. As he speaks, his expression is thunderous, and he holds himself proudly, as if there isn't a crowd spectating this nonsense. ]

If this was a battle, this would have been settled.

But, there is nothing solved with childish, half-baked words, or half-measures. I make my case with every bit of intention in seeing myself to victory. From the very start, I have made it clear to him that I value his presence and time. Both pleasant and unpleasant.

In this "event", it would be no different.

I am a ghost king, a treacherous calamity that has besieged entire seas a myriad times over, and brought gods to their knees. Since becoming thus, I remain undefeated by anyone, including Tartaglia himself. I offer a challenging, intense, and memorable presence that will constantly push him, more than any other here.

We've similarities, upholding certain similar values, knowing what should be cherished. But we also have our contrasts. The differing perspectives and attitudes between us can mean we have clashed and will continue to do so. But, perfect associations or relationships are an illusion; and in the end are only bound to become immaterial. Whereas our challenging differences will only serve to make ourselves stronger.

I keep my promises, and do not flinch away from any tribulations, fearing no reprisal, however futile it is to be directed to my person.

If I were the one chosen for this occasion, I would make it unforgettable.

[ He speaks as if he's issuing a threat, but well. At least he evidently tried. ]
