[ Vanitas' designated date from the auction is Amber, and while he can't say he's having a bad time, there are moments in which he can be caught without her around the ship.

Sampling the wine is something he's not opposed to, and he may or may not be tipsy when someone approaches. He can also be found at the buffet, squinting at a dessert dish...that looks like Tarte Tatin?? Wow, he's going to scrutinize the hell out of it. It'd better be good. ]

[ He's not a fan of chocolate, especially if it's too sweet. He's got zero idea about the bonus effects, too, but while he's out in town square, he idly pops a piece into his mouth.

He grimaces a bit. Too sweet, too sweet – but he starts to realize something was terribly wrong with it when he sees the next person and instinctively approaches. And then, without warning, he will pick them up bridal style. (Effort will vary depending on the individual.)

He blinks down at whoever he's just scooped up. ]

[ Noé made it public knowledge, and Amber and the other bidder seemed to really want to try it, so. Here it is. He thinks nothing of her dessert comment, but he follows her over to their table and sits down next to her. He watches as she unwraps it, noting that she's treating it carefully – her comment makes him a bit huffy, though. ]

You and your friend seemed like you wanted to try it, since it was listed as one of my skills on my application. That's all.

Ehe! ( she giggles! ) Honestly? I really did! I wasn't sure I'd get a chance since the date ended up being a cruise and all, but am I ever grateful you brought this over for me! Thank you.

( her eyes meet his, and there's a warm glow on her face from how much she's smiling. )

Now, please excuse me. I can't wait to dig in! ( Amber picks up one of the small dessert forks, before slicing off a bite-sized piece from the end. she guides her hand along with the piece on her fork to her mouth in order to catch any crumbs that may land on her dress, and after a few seconds of chewing, her expression melts into one of utter bliss. )

Mmmmmmmmmm...! ( excuse her as she dives right in for another bite! ) Wow! Oh, wow! This is just ... the most incredible dessert! The flavours are so balanced, and the crumble is perfect! ( more happy chewing! ) Oooh it's so good! I can't get enough! The one you brought here is so much better than the one being served at the dessert bar! ( she'll just go head and continue eating it, oh yes she will! )

[ Ugh!! Stop smiling at him like that, he's so embarrassed. He's picky about who he makes food for, and he wonders when he got so (comparatively) soft around the edges. It disgusts him, but seeing that Amber's enjoying it so much...

( don't worry, he doesn't even need to blink twice before it's gone! not a crumb left. Amber uses a napkin to dab the excess off her face whle she muffles her fond laughter. oh, this guy is so great! she adores him already. )

Mmmmm! Thank you. I loved that! I'd do anything for you to make another for me some time!

( she places her napkin down and washes that wonderful dessert down with a smile. )

[ Yep, okay. Amber's so easy to tease, it's strangely charming...and also makes this a lot easier. It's not that serious, he tells himself – that'll help with some of the awkwardness he felt earlier. ]

Fine, fine. Since you were so kind to bid on me, I'll oblige. Now, did you want anything else to eat?

( wow, he actually agreed! she's relieved. sometimes a girl just wants to enjoy a cruise ship! teasing can come later. )

Hmm, I think I'm all good here. ( they've enjoyed the buffet, some wine, his sneaky illegal dessert ... ) Besides, we only have so many hours on this thing, right? We should make the most of it!

( Amber prepares to dust herself off and step to her feet before tucking her chair in beneath the table. )

How about we head to the room? We haven't seen it yet! I know we aren't staying overnight, but I wouldn't mind freshening up a bit.

[ He feels better, now that she's not dishing out so many compliments on something he worked really hard on. Imagine being vulnerable around anyone!! Couldn't be him (lol).

He also tucks in his chair and extends a hand towards her. ]

Alright, as you wish. Take as much time as you need.

[ He also needs a breather, so he has no issue with escorting her back to their room. ]

( oh! how gentlemanly! Amber is happy to take his arm into hers so that they may head to the room together. she can feel excitement bubbling within as the door numbers get closer and closer to the one that they were assigned on their key. once they eventually reach it, Amber swipes it in the door, allowing them to enter their suite. )

Ooh...! ( wow! she's never seen anything like this before! the king sized bed looks huge, not to mention the incredible view of the sea outside! ) This is beautiful! And oh, hey! Look at this!

( Amber's attention is immediately drawn towards the basket full of goodies placed on the bed. she gasps pleasantly noticing there's chocolate inside of it! )

We get gifts, too! This is soooooo cool! There's chocolate, and, uh ... ( she rummages in the box, ) Massage creams! And these thingies! ( she holds up one of the glowing pink vials but, honestly, she has no idea what they are. for all she knows, they could be decorative.

Amber sits on the bed's edge and takes her shoes off, peering up with a scheming smile. (a well intended one, though.) )

Since you've been such a good date, how about a massage? It would be a shame to come all this way and not get to do everything while we have the chance! ( she picks one of the massage oils in her hands and gives it a little wiggle. ) Pick your favourite scent!

[ It's incredibly painless, leading her to the room and releasing her hand once they're inside. It's a beautiful suite they're in, what with the large bed (though he doesn't plan on sleeping in it) and the view of the sea (which he'll probably end up staring at instead). She's quite excitable, it seems, and he feels overwhelmed by all of her energy.

It doesn't keep him from being curious about the gifts, though. He goes over to the basket and looks through everything. ... Yeah, this is definitely meant for a couple's getaway, and he is extremely not about this. Especially the massage. ]

[ He's stiff as he says it. Maybe he's just shy...? No, he's actually mortified, and also not feeling great about baring even just part of himself to anyone. ]

( oh, she's absolutely serious about this. just look at that smile! )

Well, yeah! Why not? I dunno about you, but I love a good massage! ( the unscrews the lid off one of the vials, and this particular one is lavender scented. ) Mmmm ... this one smells amazing!

[ He opens his mouth to protest again, but the scent of the vials hits him surprisingly hard. It makes him feel a little dizzy and lightheaded, and yet so drawn to its scent, making it harder to resist temptation.

He's a private person in every sense of the word, but for some reason not even he can discern, he slowly moves to shrug off his jacket, undo his bowtie, and unbutton the top few buttons of his shirt, exposing part of his neck and collar area. ]

[ That's about all he'll remove, it seems. ]

Whatever you're comfortable with. ( she places the oil back in the basket, before she heads to the bathroom. ) Back in a moment! Let me go wash up.

( can't massage him after she just experienced that buffet and all! Amber takes care to wash her hands under the tap, applying a decent helping of soap too. after giving her hair a quick brush and drying her hands, she steps back out before taking off her shoes and hopping up on the bed. she pats the space beside her - amusing herself over how big this bed is. her body is practically sinking into it! )

Wanna hop up on here? If you could lay down on your front, that would be perfect.

[ How is she holding up so well, he wonders. Does she not feel lightheaded like he is? Unless she's doing something to him that he hasn't detected –

not that it matters, once he finds himself plopping onto the bed. ]

[ He lets out a quiet sigh and closes his eyes before he leverages himself down onto the mattress, and lays down on his front as instructed. He hates feeling like he's losing control of himself, especially in front of someone he's basically only just met – but if Amber is as pure-hearted as he thinks she is, this will pass quickly. ]

( she's only known Vanitas for a day and a half ~~and if anything happened to him she would kill everyone on this boat and then herself~~ but she can detect that the man is likely carrying a lot of tension within him. being suspicious of a person who has offered to give him a massage has taught her as much - especially when she would love to be in his position!

but Amber is a giver above everything else, and doing kind acts for people is just one of the many qualities that make up who she is. there are no ulterior motives: just the urge to iron out some of those knots he's carrying in his shoulders. if they've being given a massage kit for free, how can she not make use of it? )

I wouldn't dream of it. ( she reassures calmly, with a smile. Amber brings the box of goods beside her for convenience, and she opens the box of chocolates too. she can't resist taking a couple, just to taste. )

Oh ... those are super good! Here, I'll leave the box open for you. ( just in case! after another chocolate, Amber grabs the scented oil before coating her hands with the substance. there's a hum of approval she makes at the floral smell meeting her nostrils. )

If anything hurts, or you want me to stop, just tell me. ( and with that, she straddles him on the bed comfortably in order to access his shoulders. perhaps there are more conventional ways of giving massages, but this is the easiest. it helps that she's absolutely tiny as well. her dainty yet calloused hands rub soothingly across his shoulder blades, with her thumbs making circular massage movements to try and target those knots. the pressure that she is applying is firm, but not too hard, with the oil providing his skin with a glossy sheen. her soothing palms feel smooth like velvet, tracking a course up his spine, to the dip of his shoulders and up to his neck. )

[ He has a lot of tension indeed, throughout his entire body. He's gone through quite a bit since he was a child, and this man does not know what relaxation is whatsoever. He's got reservations about letting Amber do this still, but whatever influence he's under is making him decide not to stop her and let her do her thing. Vanitas has a feeling it's not coming from Amber herself, but something else...

His mind is too hazy to figure it out, though, and he closes his eyes as soon as she straddles him. His cheeks turn red and his brow furrows, because it's one hell of a thing to have someone literally sitting on him like this? And the way her hands brush against his skin...

...It's nice. It's nice enough to send a shiver down his spine, and he subconsciously bites down on his lower lip to stifle any noises that might escape his lips. ... That in itself is a sign that something isn't right, here. But when he opens his mouth to alert her to it, what comes out instead is something different: ]

( honestly? this kind of reaction delights her. the entire reason that she offered a massage to Vanitas in the first place was so that she could do something nice for him with the hospitalities provided by the cruise, and as far as she can tell, he's liking it. Amber is a people-pleaser above all else, and she can't help but smile warmly at his request for more. she resists assisting him with his shirt to avoid getting oil on it, and takes a quick interval to coat her hands again.

with her hands coated in yet another generous layer of the aphrodisiac substance, she guides her palms firmly over his skin to the lower half of his back, rolling her fingers with supple firmness across his skin. with fanning movements gesturing outwards, she ensures that no part his skin is neglected by her careful procedure. )

How's that? ( she asks, hoping that she's stroking him in all of the right places. and just like Vanitas - Amber is also starting to feel very different somehow. except, the thing is, she's so focused on the task at hand that she hasn't really noticed the physical changes happening in her body. she feels hotter, which she could put down to the effort of her massage - but not only this, there's a pleasant tingling in her body as well. how strange.

the arousal part of the aphrodisiac hasn't quite hit her so boldly yet, but once her massage ceases, it will likely come crashing down on her like a freight train. she did eat many chocolates, and has meticulously covered her hands in the oil. oh dear ... )

[ His back is covered in scars of varying sizes, so normally he would be staunchly against allowing Amber to see or touch anything more than what he'd given earlier. He shivers as a result when her fingers coast down to his lower back. It's nice. It feels good.

He's hardly in his right mind right now, so his desire to tell Amber to stop and check whatever's in that thing she's using has dissipated. He's aroused, now, and met with a desire to take care of the problem between his legs. Maybe he should move her off of him and run to the bathroom for this – no, but that wouldn't be satisfying enough. He doesn't want that. He wants Amber, in all of her beauty, to take care of it.

[ He's red in the face when he says it, and Amber can probably see it with how his head is turned to the side. The way he shifts his legs slightly under her betrays his fussiness, though. It's Boner City down here, and he ain't turning over. ]

[ He's so fussy about this, and he ends up reaching up to grab the nearest pillow so he can stuff his face into it and hide his embarrassment.

But his hips twist again, and his fingers dig into his pillow. His breathing is still quite heavy, and the blush on his face travels to the tips of his ears. Something is clearly not right, here. ]

( It's a cute reaction, and while she would instinctively assume that he might feel sea sick or under the weather, part of her knows that this isn't right. He doesn't carry the body language of someone who looks unwell at the moment - even with his face burned up into a bright shade of scarlet like that.
