[It's not strangely late, but it is a bit late for showing up at someone's farm, well after the sun has set. But he's... strangely awake, normal weariness having not set in at all as it turns to night and he realizes he's unlikely to get any proper sleep as restless as he is.

He did promise Sylvando he'd get to see him glowing, and it's the right time for that. So he takes the long walk down to the beaches, past fences until he reaches the front door of Sylvando's farm.

And he knocks upon the door, because some people here have manners.]

[And boy is Sylvando thankful for that. He doesn't mind late night visitors, but they are much more appreciated when they aren't peeking in through his windows.

He's not particularly busy when Syrlya comes knocking, but he had been thinking about winding down for the day. It's a good he hasn't actually started his bedtime routine yet, though!]

Comiiiing!

[His voice rings out from deeper inside the farmhouse. It isn't long before he appears in the doorway...and gasps!]

Oh! Syrlya darling, hello! What brings you to La Casa de Sylvando tonight?

Ah--[Syrlya lifts a hand, a touch sheepish.] Nothing much, I just recalled... you wanted to see my glowing?

[And he will see it. It pulses in a steady cycle of seconds, a vibrant teal lighting up in lines under his face, patches of his hair, and the fold of his ears--before gently easing to nothing. In his eyes, it glows white, just a little more subtly.]

Your...? [!] Oh. My. Goodness.

[Now that he's getting a good look, he's blown away by how stunning those teal lines look.]

I sure did, and oh did you deliver! You look absolutely gorgeous, darling! Is that...a sort of bioluminescence, then?

[chronosynthesis]

Oh! [He flusters a little, rubbing the back of the neck at the compliment. His cheeks may be blushing a little gold, harder to see in the night, because he doesn't get called gorgeous often. Even if it's just his glow.] Thank you, I--yes, we Sylvari have a bioluminescence under our skin. It is active from dusk to early dawn.

If it has a purpose, I don't know the reason. It is just... something we do.
