Idly he wonders how many books Trahearne can accumulate in their stay here, as he notices there's still so much room on that bookshelf--and then he remembers.] Oh, have I told you yet? About Adelis and Mishka coming to Tyria?

And when he hears what he has to say, his brows raise slightly. Intrigue, and surprise. ]
Are they coming with us? [ There is the faintest hint of expectation in his voice, too. ] You've spoken with them? And the goddess?
no subject
[Us, which is doesn't realize slips at first. He's too pleased about rescuing the Ostoyans from their hell world.]

That is a relief. [ He straightens, smile widening as he loosens his hold on Syrlya. ] I would hate to know they would have to return--from what little I've seen, I don't like it. [ Like Orr, but on high octane depression and vampires! Truly the worst. ]
I know how much we both care for them. I would be happy to have them in Tyria. And I'm sure Tyria would love to have them, too.

He's starting to see a lot of "I'll do it" from him. He knows Syrlya has always been an eager helper, but he does not have to shoulder all this responsibility alone. Being a hero must be...hard. ]
Let me help you. [ Trahearne's hands drift up to rest on Syrlya's shoulders, an earnest plea to at least consider his request. ] With our power and influence combined, their transition into life on Tyria will be an easy one.

I think you are forgetting how long you've been gone. [That is. Another thing they will have to deal with. Oh, Pale Mother, the absolute mess that is going to make. He's still coping with the reality that it's going to happen.] I am certain I have more money and resources in the immediate.

I've not forgotten. [ Knowing and experiencing are two different things, but. ] But I still have bonds in the life I lived before I met you. I will see to it that they are of use.
[ He squeezes Syrlya's shoulders. ] Do not shoulder this by yourself. I am here for you.

[ And he's going to keep worrying, because that's what he does.
He leans in to kiss him on the forehead. ]
Either way, I'm looking forward to our new life on Tyria with them. That's quite an exciting piece of news. Thank you, Syrlya.

[They'll have to deal with that, and it'll be a priority for Trahearne over his old connections.]

Bringing in people--humans--from another reality would not be totally out of place, but to bring back someone as... Well. Someone who might have been of some import, once upon a time, is going to be different.
Life definitely isn't going to be like how it was before. Or easy. The thought of all the attention causes him to wilt a bit. ]
It's going to be that bad, is it? [ His mouth twists. ] If there's anything I can do to make this easier on you, tell me.

Just--try to remember it's been seven years for everyone else? They will have questions. There will be shock. Some details don't need to be explained lest someone try to reproduce them.

Should I not bring up the goddess, then? I feel mentioning you found me in the Mists would have the opposite effect.
[ People trying to break into the Mists to find lost loves ones to bring them back... That definitely hasn't happened before or anything. ]

All right. We can go over the details at a later date. I'll think things over to prepare in the meanwhile. But for now--
[ His hands drop to snake around Syrlya's waist, coaxing him closer. ]
--I still haven't properly thanked you for my ring yet.

For the depths of love you have shown me today? [ He leans closer, lips dusting the other's as he speaks. ] It is not nearly enough.
[ He molds their lips together in a slow, sensual kiss, eyes falling shut as he relishes in the sensation. ]

Slowly, he breaks it, his lips dragging down as his whole body lowers. His arms, still wreathed around him, come to, eventually tightening around his hips, just below his rear.
And he stands, lifting Syrlya off his feet, holding him in his arms. Trahearne gazes up at him, enamored with him at this angle, too. ]

And then he laughs.] I never realized just how strong you were, physically. That scholarly disposition of yours is... quite deceiving.
no subject
Is it? I don't think I've ever heard that sentiment before.
[ Isn't he just awkward like that all the time (except when he's marshaling)? The thought has him realize how strange it is that someone like Syrlya loves someone like him.
No matter. He turns to stride to the bed, and falls forward, letting Syrlya collapse on the soft mattress beneath him. Trahearne's face is momentarily buried in his chest; his face rubs against the fabric of his armor as he looks up at him. ]
Tell me more.

About how strong you are? You already know you're a powerful necromancer, but if you're looking for something else... well, you're going to have to show me first, won't you?
...nsfw now??
A smile curls on his lips as he pushes himself up, hands idly running over the fabric as he observes Syrlya. ]
It seems you leave me little choice.
[ He drags his hands up Syrlya's thighs, pushing his robe up as he does so. And when the reach his waist, he pulls him up onto his lap, firmly pressing Syrlya's ass onto his groin. ]

His fingers curl. He raises a brow.] Well? Impress me.
