That...wasn't normal, was it? He seems tense. Even without the empathy connection, something seems off. He studies him for a moment, how his arms are tightly crossed over his chest, thinking about the strange hollow of his laugh.
Malchor can wait. ]

[Said as his shoulders tense. One hand raises to run through his own hair. He's fine. He's fine. A dream is a dream and this is now and Trahearne is here and his voice was roaming purposefully like a river through the ground...

[ Trahearne sinks back against the railing, studying Otegine for a second. He doesn't quite believe it, but if he doesn't want to talk about it, then he has no right to pry. ]
Where was I? --Yes.
[ He glances back out over the water. ]
Malchor was commissioned to sculpt statues of the gods, but in witnessing their brilliance, he lost his sight. The last statue he was to create was that of Dwayna, the human goddess of air and life. Though blind, he had already memorized every part of her features, and was able to sculpt her to perfection. Because he was deeply in love with her.
When the gods separated themselves from their mortal followers, he could not stand the thought of being apart from her, so he leapt from the cliffs and drowned himself.
[ There's a quiet sigh when Trahearne finishes, gazing over at the sunset and the ocean again. He...probably thinks this is romantic. ]
