A. Arco Lunar
[The date with Steinbeck aside, Aether is curious to explore Arco Lunar on his own. You may see him looking at the sea while leaning against the railing, trying out different dishes in the buffet and peeking inside the spa or massage studio.

It's really rare for him to be surrounded by such luxury. He's just a traveler, after all and the best he can usually get is a comfy, but modest room in an inn... or his current home.]

B. The Dulces Sueños Resort
[Obviously, Aether wouldn't be himself if he wasn't curious about the resort. Perhaps you are the one who invited him to go, perhaps the two of you just bumped into each other and now venture into the resort together.

If you use the open bath together with Aether you will pick up that beneath the optimistic demeanour, there's actually a lot of lingering loneliness and exhaustion.

If the two of you end up spending the night in the same room, you will see one of Aether's memories. Was it a good one of fun festivals? Or was a sad memory of something lost?]

C. Chocolates
[Perhaps you are minding your own business, when suddenly someone hugs you. A sheepish voice quickly says:]

Sorry! I didn't really mean that...

[The traveler laughs softly, if not a bit awkwardly and pulls away. The chocolates he received seem to cause the person who has eaten them to want to hug others. Aether wasn't aware of that, of course, so he tried one in the morning and its effect seems to linger for the time being. It's a bit awkward, but he doesn't mind too much.

He may be giving some away depending if you're fine with such an effect or not. Or maybe he'll just decide that you need all the hugs you can get and will gift you one without an explanation.]

[ The gentleness of how Aether's handling him makes him breathe out quietly. He closes his eyes and gently runs his fingers through the traveler's hair. ]

Mm. Keep going.

[ A gentle form of encouragement. He's not sure how experienced Aether is, even though he himself only has one time under his belt. ]

[The truth is - he has no experience at all, but a lot of heart to give. He wants nothing more but to show his affection with every little touch and kiss. Vanitas deserves that.

And so the traveler continues, nodding with a smile to the soft encouragement. His hands carefully trace patterns into the other's sides while his lips travel all the way down Vanitas' neck, shifting to the collar bone. Slow and careful. It's easy to see how much thought and heart Aether is putting into this, attentive to every reaction. He wants to make sure his partner is enjoying their time together and this is why he'll pay special attention to every spot that Vanitas will react well to.]

[ He seems to be enjoying himself overall, but the kisses near the base of his neck are what seem to elicit the strongest reactions. His breath hitches and he lets out a pleased sigh when Aether kisses around it, and as soon as he feels his partner move lower, Vanitas unbuttons his collar and undoes the bow in front of it. He also opens the first set of buttons beneath that to give Aether more access.

There's already a hint of one of his scars peeking out from the little exposure of his chest. ]

[He smiles against the other's skin, pleased with those little sounds and reactions. His lips brush tenderly over the sensitive spot near the base of the neck, before he shifts lower. There's a small hum from him, because he's enjoying it. Vanitas feels so warm underneath him, he wants to spoil him as much as possible.

When the buttons are undone, there's a spark of excitement in him. Aether trails his own fingers near the buttons that are still left untouched, wanting to accept the invitation and shower the newly exposed skin with as much affection as possible. But then he notices the scar peeking out and his gaze softens again.

He remembers the scars, how could he forget? He saw them when he and Vanitas took the bath together, back in the resort.

Gently, Aether unbuttons a bit more of his partner's shirt, before carefully pushing the fabric away, revealing more of the scarred area. And he leans down, lips caressing the marks with utmost care as if anything else could hurt. He slowly goes from mark to mark and each brush of soft lips is like a promise that everything will be okay now.]

[ Oh.

Vanitas goes on alert he feels Aether kissing his skin, right over his scars, over all the memories of being in that lab and all the pain that entailed. He was once treated as less than human, a disposable child that endured what he could so no one else would have to go through what he did. The pain seems to be less prominent, though, in the face of his partner treating him so delicately. Vanitas remembers Luna's words very distinctly -- that they had wished for him to find someone who would keep him warm, just as they did all those years ago -- and he can't help but find comfort in the gentle way Aether's handling him.

The most poignant feeling, however, is one that makes him feel like he's not so hollow anymore. Every kiss is a reminder of that. Love is such a novel concept to him still, one that he thought he could go the entirety of his life without needing, but Aether makes him feel like companionship is worth something.

Vanitas glances down and watches the traveler continue to shower him in affection. He slowly, wordlessly raises a hand and gently runs it through his partner's hair, lightly loosening some of his braid. ]

[He notices that Vanitas seems alarmed at first but he relaxes into the gentle affection eventually, even loosening Aether's braid a little. The traveler smiles gently and kindly, lifting his head a little to look at the other.]

If something bothers you or feels not right... don't hesitate to tell me.

[And he kisses the marks yet again.

He wants them both to enjoy this moment, so of course he worries.]

Of course I will.

[ Vanitas isn't the type to not vocalize these things, luckily for Aether. He keeps his hands in Aether's hair as he closes his eyes. Vanitas sighs, feeling more content now. ]

You'll allow me to return the favor, won't you?

That's good.

[Pleased with that response, Aether smiles against the other's skin, before brushing his lips over it again. Soft, gentle attention is given to every mark and once he rans out of them, the traveler slowly undoes more buttons of Vanitas' shirt, revealing more of him to kiss and love.]

I'll happily allow it. [He responds finally, giving his lover a bright smile.

Except he never says when he'll allow it. For now he's busy making sure Vanitas is happy and relaxed.]

[ He shrugs his shirt off of his shoulders, and he relaxes as Aether works lower, down to his stomach. He keeps his hand in Aether's hair and gently brushes his thumb over the top of his partner's head. After a while, Vanitas opens his eyes and sits up a little, leveraging himself on his elbow. ]

Come here.

[ And if Aether does, he'll be met with a warm, lingering kiss. ]

[They're both quiet for a moment as Aether presses more affection to the now bare skin of Vanitas' torso. He's happy to do it, but it comes as a surprise to him when the other shifts to pull himself a little up. Aether looks at his partner and smiles at the request, meeting him in a smile. His entire form easily melts into Vanitas, holding him close as they kiss.

It's all so warm and welcoming. The traveler's heart feels like it may burst.]

[ They're good at communicating how they feel in their actions more than their words, and he can't say he's complaining. Vanitas would much rather not verbalize what he feels for Aether just yet, but it's obvious in the way he kisses him and holds him close.

When they part, Vanitas tugs on the hem of Aether's top. He'd messed around with it earlier, but now... ]

Well? May I?

[ He can't be the only one with his shirt off. ]

[Aether is very happy to have it this way, just enjoying their closeness and warmth. He doesn't feel that any words are needed, but he smiles at his lover when the other asks for permission. His cheeks are brightened with a red blush, his heart picks up.]

Go on.

[He pulls his hands away, raising them slightly to allow the other to remove the piece of clothing.]

[ Vanitas will go ahead and do so, and once Aether's top is off, he wastes no time in pulling his lover flush against him again. He dips his head to leave a trail of kisses down Aether's neck, to his shoulder. He stops right after that, though, and lets out a quiet sigh. ]

Mm. You'd like to finish what we started, right?

[ He grins a little, though his head is still resting on Aether's shoulder. ]

I won't complain. I'd like to keep you to myself a little longer.

[Once his shirt is gone, Aether happily presses close, head tilting to the side to give his partner all the access he wants to the neck. Soft sighs and moans escape him under the trail of kisses, his skin tingling in the aftermath, demanding more attention.

But then Vanitas stops to ask him a question and Aether's brows furrow a little bit.]

Finish? What do you want to finish?

[His brain fails to connect any dots. He's only started feeling very nice here and the night is far from over!]

[ Aether asks his question, and Vanitas freezes. He was feeling pretty confident, but being asked to elaborate is something else entirely. He turns extremely red again, and he clears his throat. How does he put this... ]

I didn't mean now! No, we're not done yet –

[ To be fair to Aether, Vanitas worded that pretty poorly, so now he's left in a situation where he has to actually tell Aether what he wants. Hm. ]

All I'm saying is, if we go any further, it'll be hard to hold back.

[Aether blinks, then laughs. It's a soft, clear sound. His cheeks are very bright red too, but he leans close to his partner to bump their noses together.]

...Then let's not hold back. [His eyes are soft when he looks at Vanitas. Embarrassment is slowly creeping on him though, so eventually he averts his gaze.]

I want to be with you. I want us to use every moment we have together to the fullest.

[Which means - yes. Whatever Vanitas wants, whatever is going to happen next, Aether wants it. He wants to give him everything he has.]

[ That look is his greatest weakness. Vanitas can't help but soften, too, even if he can't look at Aether directly either. ]

Well, if you insist.

[ He leans in to press his lips to Aether's neck again, pressing slow kisses from his jawline to his collarbone. Vanitas lets out a warm breath against the traveler's skin. His hands wander from Aether's back, down to the waistline of his pants. He wastes no time in trying to tug them off as he continues to shower his partner in affection. ]

[He gasps at the feeling on lips against his skin, the heat burning slow inside of him as the other's hands explore him more. Then his pants are gone and everything seems so much more real. The warmth affection, the things that will happen as they continue on.

Aether embraces his partner close and drags him on top of himself as he lays down on the bed.]

[ Vanitas moves down onto the bed, on top of Aether with ease. His pants are still on, and while he would move to encourage Aether to slip those off, too, he has something he wants to take care of first. He presses another kiss to Aether's lips, before he starts trailing his lips downward. He doesn't linger around the other's neck area for too long, this time. He moves down to Aether's chest instead, as his hands hold onto the other man's waist.

Vanitas pulls back and looks for any scars that Aether may have of his own. If there are any that he can see, he'll go ahead and return the favor by pressing his lips to them. If there's nothing obvious, he'll just resume his slow exploration of Aether's body and pepper kisses all over his torso. His thumbs rub circles into the other's skin, and his eyes flicker upward for a brief moment to look at how Aether's reacting to this. ]

[His skin is surprisingly clear with no obvious mark whatsoever. Still, he realizes that Vanitas wants to return the favour and so, Aether just loosely wraps his arms around the other's neck, eyes closing as he enjoys the attention. There are some sighs escaping his lips as he's kissed so carefully, his back arches forward to receive more affection. His face is bright red as heat builds up in his body. Everything feels pleasant and warm.

His fingers tangle into Venitas' hair as if trying to tell him to keep going. It all feels so good.]

[ Those sighs are music to his ears. A shiver runs down his spine when Aether's hand goes into his hair, and his hands move to the waistband of his pants. Gently, he tugs them down and moves his hand to touch his partner.

He's never felt like this before. He's never felt the urge to give so much of himself to someone as freely as he is now. Vanitas is so used to walling people off and keeping to himself, that being able to do something so intimate with someone is a huge jump for him. He may have gone far with Amber, but he was also driven by something external to do so. Here, with Aether, it's entirely him and his instincts guiding him. That, and his feelings, which are starting to run extremely deep.

Vanitas' touch is surprisingly gentle at first, and he does his best to gauge the Traveler's reactions. He's deeply inexperienced, and it's written in how red his face is, but he buries his face in Aether's shoulder to mask how nervous he is about this. He sighs against the other's skin, breathes warm air onto it, as his free hand tangles itself in Aether's hair. ]
