karaoke party!

What: Karaoke Party Time

[ On Fall 15th, a notice goes up on the noticeboard advertising a karaoke party at Cozy Kitchen on Fall 20th. It may be easy to miss with all of the pirate chaos, but Lucia will put a sign at the front of the restaurant to remind her fellow farmers of the event.
When Fall 20th rolls around, the smell of Lucia's food can be smelled from outside in town square. One may also catch another redhead bringing alcohol from his winery into the restaurant, or people from the other neighboring bar moving equipment into Cozy Kitchen. When everything's said and done, the restaurant is left with a nice evening setup. It's a small-ish space but there is plenty of food and alcohol for people to indulge in, as well as non-alcoholic drinks like tea and water. The karaoke machine is set up, and there are board games from the store that people can play while they're here.
People are free to sing, open mic style, as many times as they'd like. At some point during the party, however, Lucia will make it a point to play some slower songs on the machine and cite that it's been a while since the dance in Spring. Now might be a good chance to get one last dance in with someone before Winter hits! Finally, party games will be inevitable, so go ahead and participate or run your own. ]

... Hm. [He thinks on it.] It's not an annoyance per se, but it has never quite settled in me how distant my connection to my people and other plant life is right now.

What exactly is it, that connection? It felt... odd to me.

It's a sort of additional sense between us. We are all connected to each other in the Dream--er, think of it as a collection of our consciousness. When we awaken, that connection lingers in the form of an emotional connection between all of us. Here, with only Trahearne, I am keenly aware of his presence and feelings when he is nearby. But normally I would have that with thousands of siblings so it can all blend together unless someone's feelings are especially strong.

You said you get it from other plant life, too... do you mean literally, or just, uh... just other Sylvari?

[He's never known it any other way, and when he spends days alone on the road it's been a comfort to know he's never truly alone. Even if... he hardly spends time in the Grove anymore.]
Perhaps simply due to our nature as magical plants, I can sense the state of other plant life as well. They are not as complex but I normally I can get a sense of their health or disposition, and influence their growth. Though it does not tell me about their composition without proper study, such as if they are poisonous.
