karaoke party!

What: Karaoke Party Time
When: Fall 20
Where: Cozy Kitchen

[ On Fall 15th, a notice goes up on the noticeboard advertising a karaoke party at Cozy Kitchen on Fall 20th. It may be easy to miss with all of the pirate chaos, but Lucia will put a sign at the front of the restaurant to remind her fellow farmers of the event.
When Fall 20th rolls around, the smell of Lucia's food can be smelled from outside in town square. One may also catch another redhead bringing alcohol from his winery into the restaurant, or people from the other neighboring bar moving equipment into Cozy Kitchen. When everything's said and done, the restaurant is left with a nice evening setup. It's a small-ish space but there is plenty of food and alcohol for people to indulge in, as well as non-alcoholic drinks like tea and water. The karaoke machine is set up, and there are board games from the store that people can play while they're here.
People are free to sing, open mic style, as many times as they'd like. At some point during the party, however, Lucia will make it a point to play some slower songs on the machine and cite that it's been a while since the dance in Spring. Now might be a good chance to get one last dance in with someone before Winter hits! Finally, party games will be inevitable, so go ahead and participate or run your own. ]

[ Little do they know Mishka's clothes are literally going to explode off of him. Anywho, she smiles back, but just as they seem to be settling into a nice, quiet moment together, the music changes to something slower and sweeter. ]

[ M-21 sweeps a much more security guard glance around the crowd with just a little more skepticism this time. The other farmers might be all in this together, but that doesn't mean some of them can't make a mess.
His attention snaps back to Ori for that little sound she makes, though. ]

Sounds like Lucia thinks it's time for another dance...
[ She'd danced with Otegine earlier, so she feels a little better about it overall... Otherwise she'd be trying to turn into a mouse to hide. But she's not sure if M-21 is going to ask, so she stays put for now... ]

Though the truth is, while she doesn't necessarily hate dancing at this point, she doesn't particularly like dancing, either. Still... If M-21 is asking her, then of course she'll say yes. It's a chance to be close to him, and that in itself already sounds great. ]
You won't get mad at me if I step on your feet?

The question gets a quiet little snort from him. Like he's scared of her stepping on his feet. ]
Wouldn't even feel it. If you're worried, I'll just pick you up.
[ He might not be as tall as Otegine, but he could easily hold her up for the whole time. He gets to his feet and holds out a hand to her, tilting his head in invitation. ]

[ Considering all the princess carrying that happens... Still, she's smiling as she takes his hand to get up to her feet. ]

[ He'd happily princess carry her dozens more times... but he's not saying that with so many witnesses around. He flashes her a quick grin as he tugs her towards the dance area. ]

[ Ori please it hasn't been 48 hours.
Once they reach the dance floor, her hands come up to rest on his shoulders, fingers lacing together behind his neck. ]
This can be another fun memory, hmm?

[ If she's going to play along, then he's allowed to joke like that, right? M-21 glances down at her and settles his hands on her waist, pulling her just a little closer. ]
...Yeah. Our first dance.
[ And it's a good thing that it's a slow dance, because he doesn't remember any dances either. But something like this isn't much more complicated than swaying in place, right? ]

Of course she doesn't resist when he pulls her in close - it's why she'd wanted to dance with him in the first place, after all. She doesn't even care if it's proper dancing, or just them swaying back and forth awkwardly like a couple of middle schoolers (not that she knows what middle school is).
The look she gives him is almost unbearably fond. ]
