[ Yeah, that sure burns! She grits her teeth and forces herself forward anyway, aiming at Diluc's neck with the stiletto this time. This one is made for piercing. She wishes she had her powers back, but this is good enough. Let her revel in the adrenaline. ]
[There's little more he can do, raising an arm in an attempt to spare his vitals, but it's possible his efforts might have resulted in driving that stiletto right into artery. If that's the case, he'll have only a handful of seconds to regret the entirety of his life and his decisions before bleeding out on the forest floor.]
[ Danielle looks at Diluc for a moment before pulling out the stiletto. Yes, have fun bleeding out, Diluc. Danielle needs immediate medical attention, so she's ditching this place to go to the clinic, but before that: ]
Looks like we couldn't go toe to toe with each other. That's too bad.
[ The criminal always returns to the scene of the crime... and so Kaeya returns to where he last fought with Diluc, trying to sort out his thoughts when he comes across a corpse! Not just any corpse though! ]
--Diluc?!
[ He rushes over, sliding on his legs to drop down next to Diluc. He immediately reaches out, hands hovering over everywhere as he's unsure where to place them. There's-- There's so much blood and he can tell exactly how Diluc died, how he bleed-- ]
[ He suddenly feels nauseous and it takes him seconds later to realize that he's crying, tears dripping down the side of his face. As his hands finally settle onto Diluc's rapidly chilling body, a wave of emotions overcome him. Pulling the corpse up into his arms, he holds it tightly as a sob starts to overcome him. A deep and heavy sob that shakes his entire body and has him wail into Diluc's shoulder. ]
[ And he stays like that for the next few minutes, mourning over Diluc. ]
[Kaeya won't have terribly long to mourn his loss. It's no more than five, ten minutes before Diluc's body begins to disintegrate in Kaeya's arms like scraps of paper set aflame. No matter how tightly Kaeya clings to him, he'll disappear completely in a few minute's time and leave those arms empty.]
[ Kaeya will scramble to keep hold, his hands fazing through Diluc's body as he quietly begs him not to leave. When Diluc completely disappears and he's left with nothing, he sobs into his hands and stays where he is. He'll mourn there for a handful of minutes. ]
