[ In the brief moment before Kaspar pulls him into his chest and after he says his name, Trahearne smiles against his lips. He's never been given a nickname like that before. That's very sweet—and a lot like Kaspar.

It isn't often he's cradled like this. He thinks this might even be a first. It will take getting used to, he thinks, but he doesn't hate it.

The warmth seeps through him, and before long Trahearne falls into a deep, dreamless sleep. ]
