That being said, he's just sitting on a bench and staring up at the sky. It's so... starry up there. ]
We don't... really get this in Tokyo, huh?
[ He says, to no one in particular. But maybe it sounds like it's at Zhongli if he's nearby. ]

And finds Ryuki here. ]
Hello, Ryuki. [ Greets first before he approaches. ] The stars?
no subject
Oh, Mr. Zhongli! Fancy seeing you out here late at night...
[ Then he blinks, and back up to the sky. ]
Yeah, the stars. Tokyo's skies are usually clear, and the nights are nice, but it's too bright... so you can't really see them.

[ He saw how that posture just CHANGED when he got caught daydreaming. Nightdreaming. ]
Tokyo must be very bright, then. The nights in Liyue are lit with lanterns and lights, but we are still able to see the stars in the sky. [ With some steps, he's beside the bench now. ] May I join you?

[ He Insists. And he will scoot a little to make room when Zhongli asks. ]
Yeah, of course...
[ And he tries to imagine that, lantern lights and a glittery sky. ]
It sounds really beautiful. Like traditional kind of stuff... Tokyo is nice, but we're really more digital urban than natural -- which is a shame. I'm not that good at it, but I like nature.

It's odd phrasing and implication—to be good at nature. [ Liyue is still full of nature, so it's hard to imagine for him. ] Is that the vision your people had for your city?
[ Digital Urban, slowly going into your favorite genre. Cyberpunk. ]

[ AINI is still pretty current modern, but yeah, if his AI tech was widely available, it would be approaching cyberpunk. ]
I think so. Tokyo is a really modern place, being the capital and all. International friendly, business friendly, a frontier for development in IT and infrastructure -- all that stuff. Sky-high skyscrapers, the dream for future-looking architects...
[ The way he talks about it suggests he doesn't dislike it, but still. ]
I like having a break now and then, though.

[ Though, for him, it's to get familiar with whatever tools that aren't found in his world. It's an interesting description. Teyvat is full of towering buildings, but nature is all around.
Modern world is a strange, distant place. ]
There is a price for a vision. [ He says that neutrally, whether the disappearance of the stars in the sky is a good thing or not. ] What do the stars mean in your world?
no subject
What do the stars... mean?
[ He looks up at it. All those dots and lights... ]
I don't know if they mean anything. Or maybe that's just me. I know they're just balls of gas and energy just out there... then again, this is the first time I'm getting to see them at all.
I know in older civilisations, people found patterns in them. That's what constellations are. Like Libra, my zodiac.

BALLS OF GAS. Zhongli guesses that really is what science notes them to be. ]
I see... Then you could say I come from an older civilization. [ TIME TO CONNECT THE DOTS, EHE. ] Constellations in Teyvat can convey one's potential and of course many nations, including the most advanced, believe you can catch a glimpse of the future in the stars.
What does Libra entail?
[ Like. The shape. He doesn't know horoscopes are a thing in modern. ]
no subject
Ones potential... the future. Yeah, this sounds about right to astrology to him, for what he knows about it. ]
Sounds like the horoscopes column on newpapers.
I don't remember what the traits of Libra are off the top of my head, but they're shaped like a pair of balancing scales.
