dec mid-month event.
mid-month event
With Crescentview’s newest citizens settling nicely, the Goddess has summoned everyone back to Town Square for another round of announcements. This time, her summons comes to you in the form of a hand-written note. If you happen to be out working in your field, one of her fairies will hand it directly to you, looking a little more sprightly than they did the first time you saw them. Otherwise, expect to find her request/demand to meet up in Town Square in your mailbox.
introducing: the memo board
The Memo Board is now available in Town Square. You may post messages here to your fellow neighbors, send out requests for assistance on the farm, or even solicit local singles for hot dates! Post whatever you like whenever you like. You can even post messages to the board anonymously if you so desire. The Memo Board is available here.
But wait, there’s more! The Goddess has given everyone a fun relationship-building exercise. How well do you know your neighbors? Can you identify them based on their writing alone?
By December 22nd - 12:00pm EST, please have your character submit an anonymous message to be posted to the Memo Board. Their message can be about anything they’d like and there is no length requirement or restrictions. After submissions have been received, characters will be given an opportunity to review everyone’s messages and guess which character wrote which memo. Answers will be revealed on December 29th - 12:00pm EST. A single correct guess will earn you a horse while each additional correct guess will net you a vegetable, flower, or mushroom spore seed bag of your choice. Good luck and have fun!
it's time to dance!
Every Spring 15th, the annual Flower Dance is held in Town Square. Villagers gather to dance with one another and celebrate the upcoming harvest and offer their prayers to the Goddess. Folks are encouraged to dance not just with those they fancy, but their fellow neighbors as a way to express gratitude and appreciation for the friendship and company they provide.
ICly, the dance takes place on Spring 15th and goes from 9am to 9pm.
task board
In addition to the tasks currently available on the Task Board, a handful of new additions have been added. You may continue to work on tasks from the previous event in addition to these new tasks, but please note that tasks may only be completed within the month they are assigned. Summer starts next month, so please have all of your tasks completed and submitted by then!
The new additions are as follows:
1. Post a notice on the Memo Board. Stick up an anonymous memo and earn a single chicken or rabbit to add to your coop. You may post as many notices as you like, but you will only redeem the reward once.
2. Correctly guess who posted a memo. Discuss these anonymous notes with one another and guess who may be the author. Between December 22nd and December 29th, submit your IC votes (link coming on the 22nd) and if you guess correctly, even just once, you will get a horse! You may guess as many times as you like, but you may only redeem this reward once.
3. Partake in the Flower Dance. Pick a partner for a round of dancing, pray to the Goddess, or just celebrate the good times! For every person that you celebrate the event with, you will receive a random bag of seeds of fruits, vegetables, flowers, or mushroom spores. This task can be completed 5 times.
4. Send a letter to your neighbor. This requires you to have acquired the stationary set from the first event, so if you haven't claimed it yet, get to it! You can post letters directly on the main community or set up an inbox in your journal to send and receive hand-written letters. For each letter that you send, you will get a random gacha item. This task can be completed 3 times.
5. Harvest your crops. On the 14th, you'd be surprised to find that all of your crops are now ready for picking - even if you've only planted them the day before. The crops look bright, flavourful, and ready to be picked, so eat them, trade them, sell them, whatever! For every interaction that you have involving the bountiful harvest, you will receive a new set of clothes. This task can be completed 3 times.

flower fest;
Try... what? The food?
[ That would be unexceptionable... probably. ]
no subject
The food, the drinks... There's several things on offer, not all of which I've had the privy of trying before. The country I came from was rather isolated from other cultures.
[Also, he wants to see the world build. Culinarily speaking.]
no subject
Alright. Too much here to go through by myself. [ Maybe. ] What country?
no subject
[Which… he’s not even sure M-21 will recognize? Assuming everyone is from Teyvat would just be foolish, because why would a goddess only choose one locale to pull people from?]
It’s an island nation, and rather secluded, so other cuisines are not as easily found.
[“Secluded” is a nice way to put it.]
no subject
Might as well try things while you're here. Where do you want to start? [ Although before waiting for an answer he adds, just a little contradictory: ] Did you see any ramen?
no subject
[Poor M-21… Does he know? Does he know some people are just from fantasy versions of countries he’s familiar with?]
Ramen is available quite readily at every restaurant in Inazuma City, after all.
[smh smh]
no subject
Huh. Maybe it's close to Korea after all. [ He's not asking "are you from Earth" because he's going to have to start taking shots every time someone protests the planet name. ] Then let's try something else.
no subject
Korea?
[He has no idea where that is.]
Well, then, since you seem familiar with Inazuman cuisine [hm] do you have any other recommendations?
[Just, like, give him a cheeseburger or something. He'll die.]
no subject
[ American it is, then. Or the closest approximation he can find. He tilts his head for Ayato to follow. ]
Can you handle spicy?
no subject
[Between the climate and limited-slash-nonexistent international trade, there's not a whole lot of peppers and the like hanging around.]
I would be willing to try it, certainly.
no subject
[ Like an inadvisable-food pointer hound, M-21 leads the way to a booth with hamburgers and chili fries. Probably also hot dogs. How's this, Ayato. ]
no subject
I've not seen anything quite like it before. What is it?
no subject
[ Struck with the existential crisis of 'what is a hot dog,' M-21 freezes for a moment. ]
...More meat. [ probably, ] You can get them to put the spices on that too.
