dec mid-month event.
mid-month event
With Crescentview’s newest citizens settling nicely, the Goddess has summoned everyone back to Town Square for another round of announcements. This time, her summons comes to you in the form of a hand-written note. If you happen to be out working in your field, one of her fairies will hand it directly to you, looking a little more sprightly than they did the first time you saw them. Otherwise, expect to find her request/demand to meet up in Town Square in your mailbox.
introducing: the memo board
The Memo Board is now available in Town Square. You may post messages here to your fellow neighbors, send out requests for assistance on the farm, or even solicit local singles for hot dates! Post whatever you like whenever you like. You can even post messages to the board anonymously if you so desire. The Memo Board is available here.
But wait, there’s more! The Goddess has given everyone a fun relationship-building exercise. How well do you know your neighbors? Can you identify them based on their writing alone?
By December 22nd - 12:00pm EST, please have your character submit an anonymous message to be posted to the Memo Board. Their message can be about anything they’d like and there is no length requirement or restrictions. After submissions have been received, characters will be given an opportunity to review everyone’s messages and guess which character wrote which memo. Answers will be revealed on December 29th - 12:00pm EST. A single correct guess will earn you a horse while each additional correct guess will net you a vegetable, flower, or mushroom spore seed bag of your choice. Good luck and have fun!
it's time to dance!
Every Spring 15th, the annual Flower Dance is held in Town Square. Villagers gather to dance with one another and celebrate the upcoming harvest and offer their prayers to the Goddess. Folks are encouraged to dance not just with those they fancy, but their fellow neighbors as a way to express gratitude and appreciation for the friendship and company they provide.
ICly, the dance takes place on Spring 15th and goes from 9am to 9pm.
task board
In addition to the tasks currently available on the Task Board, a handful of new additions have been added. You may continue to work on tasks from the previous event in addition to these new tasks, but please note that tasks may only be completed within the month they are assigned. Summer starts next month, so please have all of your tasks completed and submitted by then!
The new additions are as follows:
1. Post a notice on the Memo Board. Stick up an anonymous memo and earn a single chicken or rabbit to add to your coop. You may post as many notices as you like, but you will only redeem the reward once.
2. Correctly guess who posted a memo. Discuss these anonymous notes with one another and guess who may be the author. Between December 22nd and December 29th, submit your IC votes (link coming on the 22nd) and if you guess correctly, even just once, you will get a horse! You may guess as many times as you like, but you may only redeem this reward once.
3. Partake in the Flower Dance. Pick a partner for a round of dancing, pray to the Goddess, or just celebrate the good times! For every person that you celebrate the event with, you will receive a random bag of seeds of fruits, vegetables, flowers, or mushroom spores. This task can be completed 5 times.
4. Send a letter to your neighbor. This requires you to have acquired the stationary set from the first event, so if you haven't claimed it yet, get to it! You can post letters directly on the main community or set up an inbox in your journal to send and receive hand-written letters. For each letter that you send, you will get a random gacha item. This task can be completed 3 times.
5. Harvest your crops. On the 14th, you'd be surprised to find that all of your crops are now ready for picking - even if you've only planted them the day before. The crops look bright, flavourful, and ready to be picked, so eat them, trade them, sell them, whatever! For every interaction that you have involving the bountiful harvest, you will receive a new set of clothes. This task can be completed 3 times.

[ And Gaku wastes no time, grabbing onto one edge of the pillow and thwapping Tighnari on the shoulder with the other end. ]
no subject
THWAP. he smacks gaku right in the chest with his own pillow. ]
no subject
But he likes that, aiming for Tighnari's abdomen this time around as he smacks him with the pillow a little bit harder than before.
He's sure Tighnari can handle it. ]
no subject
and so it begins, the great pillow war.. tighnari will not surrender easily!! he's a flurry of fur and pillow, whacking his opponent on the arms and shoulders, receiving blows in kind, though he does at one point aim a little too high, smacking gaku right across the head - ]
Oh - ! Sorry!
[ he got a little overzealous.. ]
no subject
But Tigharni does get overzealous, enough so that Gaku glares at him for a moment before grabbing another pillow and smacking him with two at a time. ]
no subject
I take my apology back!
[ tighnari might have only one pillow, but he will fight with it fiercely!! ]
no subject
You started this! This is payback for hitting me in the head!
no subject
[ probably!! okay it was, tighnari does not LIE. ]
But this isn't!
[ with both hands, he stuffs his pillow right into gaku's face; he's laughing, despite himself - this is so stupid and juvenile!! ]
no subject
Hey, not fair!
[ His voice is muffled by the pillow, but he's laughing anyway. ]
no subject
[ yes, tighnari sure is goading him!! he doesn't consider himself particularly competitive, but..
another thwap to the face!! ]
no subject
Win, obviously!
no subject
he charges again, small but mighty. ]
We'll see about that.
no subject
[ Gaku tries to stand his ground, opting for defense rather than offense. He's got no idea how to fight well, after all. ]
no subject
.. he flings one of his pillows directly at gaku's head. ]
no subject
Gaku holds up one of his pillows. If Tighnari is going to be hitting him so precisely like that, he has to throw in the towel. ]
I surrender!
no subject
he grins, trying not to feel too triumphant - this is a child's game, after all.. still, he's panting a little bit with exertion. ]
Well. Good. Remember my fury, or something like that.
no subject
Your fury, huh? I bet you get real scary when you're super angry, though!
no subject
[ he's kinda scary sometimes even when he's just annoyed, let alone fully angry. ]
no subject
[ But he doesn't mind that so much. It's funny more than anything else. ]
no subject
[ maybe he should have had more pillow fights with his parents!! ]
At any rate, thank you for the help, that should do it, I think.
[ he pulls out his bingo card to find that.. yes, it is indeed punched! ]
no subject
[ He peers over to confirm that the square is filled. Success!
With a grin, Gaku sets the pillows back down on the bed. ]
Well, I'll let you get to fixing up whatever you need to here. Come find me if you need anything! [ He starts towards the door with a wave. ] See you around?
no subject
[ tighnari has spent a lot of time cleaning, but there's always more to be cleaned.. he waves. ]
Thanks again! Take care.
