mid-month event

With Crescentview’s newest citizens settling nicely, the Goddess has summoned everyone back to Town Square for another round of announcements. This time, her summons comes to you in the form of a hand-written note. If you happen to be out working in your field, one of her fairies will hand it directly to you, looking a little more sprightly than they did the first time you saw them. Otherwise, expect to find her request/demand to meet up in Town Square in your mailbox.

introducing: the memo board

The Memo Board is now available in Town Square. You may post messages here to your fellow neighbors, send out requests for assistance on the farm, or even solicit local singles for hot dates! Post whatever you like whenever you like. You can even post messages to the board anonymously if you so desire. The Memo Board is available here.

But wait, there’s more! The Goddess has given everyone a fun relationship-building exercise. How well do you know your neighbors? Can you identify them based on their writing alone?

By December 22nd - 12:00pm EST, please have your character submit an anonymous message to be posted to the Memo Board. Their message can be about anything they’d like and there is no length requirement or restrictions. After submissions have been received, characters will be given an opportunity to review everyone’s messages and guess which character wrote which memo. Answers will be revealed on December 29th - 12:00pm EST. A single correct guess will earn you a horse while each additional correct guess will net you a vegetable, flower, or mushroom spore seed bag of your choice. Good luck and have fun!

it's time to dance!

Every Spring 15th, the annual Flower Dance is held in Town Square. Villagers gather to dance with one another and celebrate the upcoming harvest and offer their prayers to the Goddess. Folks are encouraged to dance not just with those they fancy, but their fellow neighbors as a way to express gratitude and appreciation for the friendship and company they provide.

ICly, the dance takes place on Spring 15th and goes from 9am to 9pm.

In addition to the tasks currently available on the Task Board, a handful of new additions have been added. You may continue to work on tasks from the previous event in addition to these new tasks, but please note that tasks may only be completed within the month they are assigned. Summer starts next month, so please have all of your tasks completed and submitted by then!

The new additions are as follows:

1. Post a notice on the Memo Board. Stick up an anonymous memo and earn a single chicken or rabbit to add to your coop. You may post as many notices as you like, but you will only redeem the reward once.

2. Correctly guess who posted a memo. Discuss these anonymous notes with one another and guess who may be the author. Between December 22nd and December 29th, submit your IC votes (link coming on the 22nd) and if you guess correctly, even just once, you will get a horse! You may guess as many times as you like, but you may only redeem this reward once.

3. Partake in the Flower Dance. Pick a partner for a round of dancing, pray to the Goddess, or just celebrate the good times! For every person that you celebrate the event with, you will receive a random bag of seeds of fruits, vegetables, flowers, or mushroom spores. This task can be completed 5 times.

4. Send a letter to your neighbor. This requires you to have acquired the stationary set from the first event, so if you haven't claimed it yet, get to it! You can post letters directly on the main community or set up an inbox in your journal to send and receive hand-written letters. For each letter that you send, you will get a random gacha item. This task can be completed 3 times.

5. Harvest your crops. On the 14th, you'd be surprised to find that all of your crops are now ready for picking - even if you've only planted them the day before. The crops look bright, flavourful, and ready to be picked, so eat them, trade them, sell them, whatever! For every interaction that you have involving the bountiful harvest, you will receive a new set of clothes. This task can be completed 3 times.

[ the kiss is welcome, given the way tighnari tips his chin up into it and presses back, curling some of cyno's pale hair around his fingers as he does. their noses bump gently, and tighnari hums softly against cyno's mouth, enjoying the warm pressure of it, appreciating the texture of his lips - all the things he's held himself back from in the past.

now they're here, and tighnari can indulge all of his curiosities, all of the urges he's felt when cyno is around. ]

You could.. [ he murmurs, between soft, lingering kisses. ] .. you'd have a lot to make up. I've done a lot of worrying.

[ how many times now has he patched cyno up after he's stumbled, bleeding, to gandharva ville? tighnari's sure he could name each and every scar that cyno carries. ]

I should start right away, then.

[ It's no secret that he's always trusted Tighnari to patch him up after particularly difficult missions. Here's hoping that the forest watcher didn't count how many times Cyno knocked on his door seeking help. ]

I could do this for a lifetime.

[ Cyno trails kisses from Tighnari's forehead, then slowly moves down to his nose and cheeks before stopping at his lips and taking his sweet time there. ]

[ tighnari hasn't kept exact count, no, but he could surely find out of it wanted to. back home, at least. his journal would list each and every time cyno had come to him, the extent of his injuries, and how they had been treated.

but that journal is at home, thankfully for cyno. also thankfully for cyno, those kisses are very distracting, and it isn't long before tighnari's grip on him is tightening, his lips parting as he hums against the kiss to his mouth. ]

It is tempting..

[ he murmurs, soft against cyno's lips. it feels like they've waited for this for so long, like they've been building and building to it for years, and now that they're here at last, tighnari does not want to let him go. ]

But we probably shouldn't stay in bed all day.

[ As tempting it is, it's impossible to even attempt making up for all these years in one day. Rushing things doesn't seem fair either, even if his mind, heart, and body crave Tighnari, his kisses, his touches, everything he has to offer, teasing included. ]

We really shouldn't. [ Cyno chuckles weakly, his heart skipping a beat when Tighnari is whispering against his lips. ] I can show you around unless you want to explore on your own.

[ honestly, the only thing stronger than his desire to lie in bed all day kissing cyno is his curiosity. they're in an entirely new world, there's got to be so much to do and see, interesting plants and mushrooms and animals to survey and study! and they can kiss all they want, later, after tighnari has slaked his thirst for knowledge. ]

I'd like that.

[ he says, eyes bright as he nods. ]

I'm sure there's so many fascinating new things to see.

[ These bright eyes hungry for knowledge are Cyno's weakness, that's for sure. After pressing one more kiss to Tighnari's lips, he gets up first and offers him a hand. ]

[ To drop all the cakes as a token of gratitude for summoning Tighnari here, yes. ]

The Goddess's pond?

[ the bed is so warm and comfy.. but without cyno's warmth and weight next to him, it's not as alluring to stay, so he's soon sitting forward, swinging his legs over the side of the bed, and taking cyno's hand to get to his feet.

he's felt the warm, callused roughness of cyno's hands plenty of times, but now it feels.. different. ]

What's that?

A place where you can talk to her. She's wandering around the island too, but I think it's more convenient to summon her there.

[ He's omitting the reason behind his trip to the pond on purpose. ]

But I'll show you around first.

[ cyno sure is acting a little cagey..

but tighnari trusts that it must be for good reason, he supposes. he threads their fingers together. ]
