[ this is probably the strangest way he's ever met someone— which says a lot coming from someone who basically gets summoned to wars? but, let's say that twister has been set up somewhere, and achilles has mostly been scratching his head attempting to figure it out. it's set up, at least in the grass and he seems to be tilting his head. he is aware that it was on his card, but ... life is hard when it doesn't naturally come with the level of knowledge he was used to.

that said, when he sees someone walk by, he doesn't shy away from calling out: ] Hey! Do you think you could help me something? [ it was worth being transparent, right? either way, he did tend to be pretty honest... and bold. ]

My name is Rider, by the way. Hope I didn't catch you too off-guard.

( without any hesitation what-so-ever, Amber is quick to reply to that call for help. after all, helping people is her absolute favourite thing to do! )

Of course I can! Leave it to me! ( suffice to say, she definitely wasn't caught off guard! ) Not at all! I love helping others, it's an Outrider's duty! ( oh, hold up-- ) Did you say your name is Rider? What an awesome name, ehehe!

[ it's been a while since he's been met with this level of enthusiasm, and he finds himself smiling in tune. it looks like he's picked right! ] Oh?! Thanks a ton. [ but, that said, an "outrider,"huh? there's a lot of questions, he has about that, however he decides to pocket them for later. ]

I like your attitude, miss. Maybe because we're both riders? [ that said, he tries not to be too derailed. instead, focusing on the task at hand, he gestures to the display, and continues. ]

Not sure if you got this. But, apparently this game is "Twister." I never heard of it before. Uh, we are meant to use this. [ shows her the little display with the needle and colors. that said, when he picks it up... directions fall out.

Oh! Neat! I can't say I've ever heard of this game either, but I'm happy to learn! Let's see ...

( Amber leans down to pick up the piece of paper, humming in thought as she reads over the instructions. )

Hmmm. So from what I can tell, we spin that thing with the needle on it, and it tells you where to put a body part! ( she giggles. ) Sounds like fun! I guess it'd be like ... ( taking the needle board, she spins it, and it lands on 'left hand red.' ) Then one of us puts our left hand on the red square!

[ he's relieved they found the directions and it helps a lot that she explains them. to be honest, it was sort of hard for him to visualize himself, so he's kind of relieved he has a partner here. amber, the 🐐. ] Thanks. I think I'd be pretty lost without you.

[ when she says that, he already moves over to the mat and just as directed, he places his left hand on the red square. with that, he reaches his right hand out and with an easygoing smile, he continues: ] Want to give it a try? I can spin yours for you. [ but, uh... he realizes it'd be kind of hard to spin between them, but...

maybe that was part of figuring out? or part of the whole challenge? ]

( she slides the board over to him. )

when she slides it over, he takes it with his free hand. he settles his hand that is already on the mat, and once amber says she's ready, he spins it. ] Right foot yellow. [ so far, pretty easy?? ] Also you mentioned you were an "Outrider," but I don't think I got your name.
