🌱 The Cozy Kitchen is a very minimalist restaurant that is currently only staffed by Lucia Lee (Chef) and Noé Archiviste (server). There's a handwritten sign at the entrance that reads "INQUIRE FOR JOB OPPORTUNITIES, WILL PAY IN MUSHROOMS/GOLD".

🌱 The interior of the restaurant is earthy and filled with plants, but not too furnished just yet. There are three small, round tables for up to two people each, and a small menu, made up of Lucia's specialties.

🌱 The menu (as of 3rd day of Summer) has Lucia's signature stew, some corn chowder, fried noodles, fried rice, and chicken Alfredo pasta. Water, coffee and tea are also available, though they're nothing fancy at the moment and only come with cream and sugar. Payment can be either in gold (the town's currency) or in any sort of crops. Everything is probably a little underpriced.

🌱 Restaurant hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm.

Hi, Ellis! Welcome inside. Thanks for helping me out, would you like something to eat or drink? It's on me.

[ Ellis nods to both questions, but he holds out $30 worth of gold to Lucia. He won't take no for an answer. ]

Wh- Ellis?!

[ Sir, she looks like she's about to pass out. ]

There's no need for that! Please save your money!!

[ Don't pass out, but accept his money. Here. He tries to take Lucia's hand so that he can shove this small bag of money into it so that the coins don't spill out. ]

[ Y'all... She feels bad, Ellis has already done so much for her. But she'll accept it, just to appease him. ]

[ She takes the bag and holds onto it securely. ]

I wouldn't have made it here without your encouragement.

[ Ellis is wide eyed for a second and blinks several times. Then he points at himself. His encouragement?? Huh? ]

[ It made her cry! Remember, Ellis? ]

[ Oh... Ellis smiles and pats her shoulder. ]

It was really good. I wouldn't lie about that.

[ Really. Swear it on his fictional self. ]

[ Even if he'll have to pay for it, which she feels bad about... Silly Lucia, this is a business. ]

[ Ellis nods enthusiastically and points to the chicken alfredo pasta on the menu. It seems that he really wants to eat this... ]

The pasta? Sure thing! In the meantime, please feel free to work on anything. Or, I can talk to you while I cook. I've gotten the hang of multitasking.

[ She can't guarantee she won't slip up, though, but she feels bad for making him wait by himself. ]

[ Oh. Well. He'd love to talk, but then Lucia would probably have to squint to see his notepad every time. That's not good, so he quickly scribbles: ]

I can wait. Thanks though. We can talk if no one else comes in after!

Of course. I'll keep you company if it doesn't get busy.

[ Aaand away she goes, to make his meal! It takes a bit, but Ellis can probably smell the food being made from where he's sitting. It smells pretty damn good. It takes a little longer than he'd expect – she's still new to this – but when it comes out, it's nice and fresh.

And they are the only ones in the restaurant. Perfect. ]

[ Ellis feels like he's about to drool. He really wonders why, but Lucia's cooking always seems to be the best. He feels like his own feel inadequate compared to hers. ]
