Oh, I...
[ Heat blooms on her cheeks, painting her skin in a rosy lilac. ]
I didn't know you had such a way with words, Trahearne.
[ Men with high charisma scores... her weakness ]
no subject
[ He would never consider himself with a high charisma score... If she thought that, he'd perish on the spot. ]
Yet I can't seem to find the words to describe how happy I am to see you.
[ He holds out a hand, palm up for her to take. ]
no subject
Is that so...? I'm sorry to say that I'm not very good with words, either...
[ She squeezes his hand. ]
Were out for a morning stroll, too?

[ Amber meets amber as he gazes into her eyes, suddenly enraptured by her gaze. All of him feels so light, like he's on air. A small rational part of him notes how strange it is, but he doesn't care. He's never felt this happy before.
He lifts her hand to his lips, gently placing a kiss to her knuckles. ]
...suppose I felt drawn to you.
no subject
She somehow cannot bring herself to care. ]
Then...
[ The brush of his lips against her knuckles is so light, yet so perfect. ]
Maybe we should spend some time together...
no subject
Agreed.
[ Goodness. She's...gorgeous. He can't tear his eyes away from her, the flowers in her hair, the hues of her skin, how the sunlight creates a halo around her...
He takes another step forward; there's scarcely any room between them now. He still holds her hand. ]
I hope you didn't have any plans for the day.
no subject
I... I think I can make room for you, Trahearne.
[ She looks up at him, unable to avert her gaze as well, eyes full of light and wonder. ]
I don't know why, but my heart... It feels so full...
no subject
He feels his breath quickening as he admires her--the most beautiful bloom in a patch of wildflowers. They have only just met, yet there's something about her that makes it feel like they've known each other forever. Why is that.
His gaze drifts to a blossom in her hair, and his brows shoot up, as though recalling something. ]
--That's right. There's something I wanted to give you. [ It's true. He steps back, tugging her hand as he does so. ] Come with me.
no subject
You have something to give me...?
[ It comes as such a surprise and yet a lovely one, one that she can't find herself feeling anything but elated by. Because... It means that he'd thought of her, and thought of seeing her again so he could give her this gift. And that makes her heart flutter yet again... At his prompting, he nods and follows him dutifully, her grip on his hand all the while remaining firm and steadfast. ]

It isn't a luxurious present by any means, but he still hopes she likes it nonetheless.
He lets go when they reach the house only to step inside for a moment. He emerges with a large, messy bouquet of flowers--some grown on the farm, some picked from his morning walks--bound together by simple twine. He grasps her hands so that they wrap around the stems, and he cups his hands over hers. ]
I always thought you would look at home in a bed of wildflowers.
no subject
I... I don't know what to say. This is an amazing present, Trahearne. I love flowers...
[ She dips her head and lifts the bouquet - and their joined hands - to take in their scent, warmth blooming all the more in her cheeks as she does so. ]
no subject
He can't help but chuckle as she says that. Of course she does. And he's glad he's right. ]
And I love that you love them, Ori.
[ After a moment, once she's taken in the scent of the flowers, he puts the slightest, gentle pressure on her hands to encourage her to lower her hands and make a little room. Because once she does, he leans in to gently kiss her--her lips are two soft, tiny suns on his. ]
no subject
He pulls their hands down with no resistance from her end, and when she realizes that he's leaning in, it only feels natural for her to lean in, too, her eyes slipping shut meanwhile.
His lips are soft - softer than she thinks she would have imagined. A new sensation for her, to be sure, yet there's no trepidation, no worry, no hesitation behind the way she kisses him back duly. This... This feels nice. It feels right, in a way that she truly cannot explain. ]
no subject
Trahearne feels himself melting into the kiss in a way he's never experienced before. Is this what it feels like to kiss someone he truly...loves? This is not what it felt like with Kaeya, van Zieks, NoΓ©. Her warmth overcomes him, and he sighs into the contact.
After what feels like an eternity, he pulls back; delight riddles his face, a lightness fills his chest. He can't help the grin that bursts across his face as he takes in Ori's face once again, delighted by how beautiful she is. ]
Shall we explore the forest?
no subject
When he pulls back, she looks up at him with a face that is just as light and warm and near giddy. And that only becomes all the more so at his suggestion. With one hand still holding the bouquet, she lowers the other to take entwine her fingers with his. ]
Yes, let's do that. And I'd love to get to know you better while we explore, too...
no subject
Only if you return the favour.
[ There's a slight tease to his voice--of course, he knows in the back of his mind that they will be sharing stories. Conversation will flow between them like a practiced dance, and that he will love every minute of it. Why does he feel this way? Why has he never even entertained the idea of them before this?
And so off into the woods they go, into the deepest, unmarked and untrodden corners among the trees. But not once does Trahearne worry for time or for their location. He tells her of his home, of his travels and studies and all the things he fought so hard to protect. And whatever she decides to tell him, he receives with enthusiasm and without judgment. Every part of her, he decides, he loves unconditionally.
And perhaps once they're done exploring the woods, they can explore...each other?? ]
no subject
She is sure, now more than ever, that Trahearne is the most remarkable man she has ever met. And spirits, she is so lucky to have fallen in love with him... (For a day.)
It matters little how long they've been out, but there does come a time when it feels that there's not much more talking to be done, when they decide to take a break in another clearing. ]
You really are incredible, Trahearne. We've spent so long talking, but I still feel like there's so much more we can talk about...
no subject
But when he sees the way she's enshrouded in nature like this, does it matter?
As they come to a halt in this new clearing, he finds himself naturally drawing closer to her. A hand comes to rest at the small of her back and the other cups her jaw, thumb gently brushing over the curve of her cheek. ]
You could speak for an eternity and I would hang on to every word. [ Has he been smiling this whole time? Perhaps, yet it feels like his smile widens. ] Your voice is a melody on the wind, and I doubt I would ever tire of hearing it.
no subject
At least, not until he speaks.
Because what comes out of his mouth are words so beautiful that she truly cannot think of them as anything but poetry, and... He's not the only one who's been so poetic when speaking with her, is he?
"Poetry, I think. That's what you are."
But the words, the memory are hazy and lost in the mist of whatever magic has ensnared them, and instead of remembering a certain bard of hers... She smiles up at Trahearne, and her hands wrap around his shoulders as she brings herself up to the very tips of her toes in order to kiss him fully, deeply. Surrendering. ]
no subject
The hand at her cheek slides to the back of her head, tangling in the soft strands of her hair. Her warmth consumes him--she is so small, yet how can she be this radiant?
She is a star, he thinks.
In all honesty, he doubts he will ever have his fill of her, and it's with faint regret that he pulls back. Only just, giving himself enough room to speak, but that is all. His lips, warmed by her love, brush against hers. ]
You are the woman of my dreams. [ His voice is but a murmur, the smooth pebbles at the bottom of a clear stream. ] I cannot believe...I've found you.
no subject
Then you should make the most of this time, now that you've finally found me...
[ Less talking poetic, more smooching, Trahearne. ]
no subject
[ Something about time, again, nags him in the back of his mind, but the thought quickly melts way as he does the very same into Ori's lips. Her warmth, her softness overcomes him, and he tries to find even more of her as his tongue roams the inside of her mouth.
He leans into her, perhaps a little too much, and he finds himself taking both of them against a nearby tree. He gasps into her mouth, the arm behind her head reaching up to brace himself against the rough bark. Tighter his other arm wraps around her waist. No longer is he so satisfied by the gentle, romantic contact of their wander through the woods. Now that he has her...he wants her. ]
Ori...
no subject
And when she hears that, she is very sure that she wants him, too. Her eyes, half-lidded, stay fixed on his lips as she responds, ]
Yes, Trahearne...?
no subject
He inhales, the scent of the forest and of Ori filling his mind. ]
I would make love to you. [ He shifts against her slightly, suddenly conscious of every curve on her body against him, his nose just barely dusting the skin on her cheek. ] If you would have me.
[ She's intoxicating. ]
no subject
I would.
[ Were she in her right mind, were the circumstances different, were this a tryst that came about as a result of genuine, progression... She might have asked to retreat to either of their homes for the luxury of getting to know each other's bodies in private, for that slow, gentle intimacy... But she is not in her right mind. Instead, the thought of him taking her right here in this clearing, against this tree feels so right, a culmination of this perfect day filled with him.
One of her hands falls away from him, but only momentarily so. Instead, it presses against the bark of the tree behind her, causing moss and flowers and life to spring forth, spreading across the trunk of the tree. ]
I'm all yours, Trahearne.
