( Whether or not it's Ryuki's sole reason, that it's his sole named reason does earn a small laugh from Mishka. )

Are you afraid of boring people?

( Can Mishka stop needling people for 10 seconds? Apparently not. Whether or not Ryuki answers him, he's on standby as Ryuki does his little trick, and raises an eyebrow, impressed. He slips in after him. )

That's a neat little trick. My life would have been far easier with it.

( He doesn't really elaborate on that, but being able to see within a building would be a boon to most, he presumes, so no need to get into it. He's near soundless as he steps into the clinic, casting his gaze about quickly and confirming what Ryuki predicted (or, well, saw) - he seems satisfied.

He beckons Ryuki to follow after him to one of the beds he'd scouted out earlier, neatly tucked away behind a semicircle curtain. No one may be in here at present, but still, perhaps out of habit, his voice remains low - he isn't the sort to assume an unlocked building is like to remain barren. After all, they just walked in. )

Ah, how comfortable . . . ( The curtain quietly shut behind them, he tests the bed with his palms before slipping up onto it. So soft... ) Come up, come up. You'll like it.

I wouldn't say that. Not afraid. Don't hate it, either. I like stimulation though -- staying active.

[ Of course, he'd rather probably be known as a little boring than, I don't know, a complete psychopath, but hey. Extreme takes. Also yeah... yeah....... an assassin would really love to have the kinds of things Ryuki's eyesight can do, seeing through walls and lies and people's hearts like it's all clearly written across their faces. Fortunately for the world, he is technically on the side of the law. ]

[ Offhandedly, distracted as he steps past the off-blue curtains. It's quiet, a little too much, and quiet leaves him restless. He sits down on the bed, feeling the springs under -- passable, not luxurious, but acceptable as a medical bed by his judgment -- facing towards the gap between the partition curtain before he looks back at Mishka. Then, he crawls up on the bed more proper, scooting closer with his palms to the bedspread as well to balance himself. ]

Could be better, could be worse. [ Regarding bed quality. ] Hoping for better.

[ He'd say last chance to change your mind about the bingo square, but Tama has schooled him that such behaviour is kinda a turnoff. ]

( Back in Ostoya your medical bed was your designated 5x5 space on the floor, if you were lucky enough to have one, really, so this, to Mishka, is great. Granted, as master assassin, he probably has more perks than others - but the mats he got still wouldn't beat these. Real privilege was reserved for those who sold their souls to vampires, and Mishka, unfortunately, is under different ownership.

He laughs lightly at Ryuki's conclusion. Ah, how much nicer the standard quality of living he's used to must be. )

( Messing with Ryuki? Unclear. He did reiterate he wouldn't, though. He lifts his hand, reaching for Ryuki's head, like he has when fluffing up his hair - but, this time, he places his palm to Ryuki's forehead, as Ryuki had done with his hand before. )

[ Yeah it's really valid. Ryuki just gets the luxury of being able to rate things, though ultimately, his tastes are pretty mundane. Get yourself a master bed for your farmhouse, Mishka... for you and all of your :ANTS:.

The inn, huh... he hasn't much experience with repeats, like fwb -- anything prolonged. His relationship with Tama is a bit too unique, nor is it quite the same calibre. He supposes it might not be too bad, though he doesn't have any appropriate square of his own, so he'd simply leave it up to Mishka. He blinks once, fading back into focus at the question, and suddenly aware of a hand right in front of his face. When'd that get there? ]

You said you were open to being rough, right?

[ He tries to be a bit more straightforward this time, raising a hand to cover the other's, guiding it to his hair, and closing fingers around a handful of short black strands. ]

( Master bed for the bugs, regular bed for Mishka. His children deserve the luxury.

Ah, so that's what it was. Well, if anything, he seems pleased - if Ryuki's requesting something rough himself, perhaps his tolerance for a bit of shenanigans is a bit broader than he'd expected. (If only Mishka knew...)

His fingers curl lightly into Ryuki's hair, as if testing his grip - tugging the strands from the scalp with a surprisingly steely touch. )

I would argue that I'm rougher than I am sweet.

( Because he says sweet things often, and he does not say them falsely, but they are not his heart. His heart is the brambles in the churches; his heart is knives beneath the skin. It is not that he revels in suffering, particularly - it is that hurt is the language he best knows.

He slips an arm around Ryuki's waist without particular explanation, and pulls him close as he can - nearly chest to chest, if Ryuki will let him. )

You will have to figure out some way to tell me if you truly begin to dislike something I do, yes?

( And then he yanks with a sudden sharpness, twisting Ryuki's head back by the hair with startling force - he isn't abnormally strong, but it's clear he's quite used to doing this for more brutal business, and he's used to keeping a person still this way, the neck forced into an appealing arch. )

[ I hate it here the hardest part is having appropriate icons because I didn't consider. You can have this icon, it's funny.

He does not seem to mind, lids flickering at the first tug. A little test, and one he seems to find relief in. Daresay, perhaps a bit eager for it, finding more comfort in this than sweets and affection. Mishka isn't the only one who speaks best in hurt than most, certainly in different shades, both surely unwillingly, but that's their lot in life. There is no resistance from him, willfully pliable. ]

[ He winces as can be expected from the suddenness, eyes shut from the brief sharp sensation traveling from his scalp -- and his body protests at first, but his brain soon accepts it once the feeling is more sustained.

Fortunately for him, he'll know exactly what his limits are, because Tama will tell him no matter the cost. She WILL blueball Mishka without hesitation if it means keeping Ryuki safe. In other words, he can fully lean into this sensation with little care.

He opens one eye blearily, looking at Mishka through eyes just short of glazing over, still just attentive enough to remember how this works. Tama would kill him too if he didn't set ip a safeword, because she's a true practitioner. ]

Yeah, I'll say -- [ what's a good safeword... ] -- ABIS if I need you to stop.

Really, Mishka is not a proper practitioner of these kinds of things— no one had ever used an actual safeword with him, and even if he were to argue, they weren't the sort to listen. So he has taken on these habits, and meant sincerely that Ryuki would have to find some way to communicate it - but, callously, it wasn't to be his responsibility.

Fortunately for Ryuki, Mishka is callous, but he is not indifferent, like the people before him. While the sudden interjection surprises him, he seems to log it. )

( He'll credit Ryuki with having enough self-respect to insist on a safeword, not knowing there's a small woman in his eye calling the shots here.

Regardless, he can tell Ryuki likes it from expression alone, and that's enough to get him back into the rhythm of things, somewhat. Where was he... He yanks Ryuki's hair back to pull him proper down against the bed, Mishka climbing over him with the strange sway of a predator. )

Do you like it when it hurts? ( He presses his knee between Ryuki's legs, grinding down-- leaning in against the curve of his neck, breath warm. ) Or do you simply prefer it when you're manhandled, without regard for how?

( He grip twists to keep Ryuki's head steady and better sink his fangs in - so he can bite down, sharply, with proper intent to leave a brutal mark. Mishka was here, as it were. )

Honestly, the only reason Ryuki is so familiar with these is solely because of Tama, because Tama cares more for Ryuki than Ryuki does. It's nice to have someone in your corner when you're otherwise just God's least favourite princess. Sometimes, he really does just follow bare minimum, though.

He makes some kind of grunt of exertion when he's yanked downward, feeling mattress against his back -- a brief anxiety swells up his chest, emerging in an exhale. He looks up at Mishka, but his vision is unfocused, mouth slightly open. It takes him longer than it should to process the words asked of him through his brain fog, and when he parses it as an 'or', he just shakes his head. Slightly. In the realm he can. ]
