i. after the hurricane

[ When the skies clear and the sun comes back out after the hurricane passes, Ori does her best to visit every. single. farm. She had spent most of that time inside making sure her and M-21's farm was weathering the storm well enough, and then most of the rainy day following... baking cookies. Many, many cookies.

Which she is now showing up at your doorstep with, rapping upon the door politely. ]

Hello there! I just wanted to check on everyone! Do you need help clearing your farm? Or if you got hurt during the storm, I can heal... Oh! And I have cookies.

ii. funny forest furries

[ On some of the other sunny summer days, Ori will make her way into the woods surrounding the forest farms to practice her magic and figure out what's going on with her shapeshifting ability.

Which is really to say... Anyone exploring or foraging in the woods may find themself running into a rather peculiar sight: choose your fighter between a bear with webbed platypus feet and a platypus face, a rabbit with mouse ears and horns, or a parrot-colored giant owl... ]

iii. double trouble ( aka 'you split into two identical copies of yourself for a day' babey)

[ Did you just see Ori somewhere in town, perhaps delivering flowers during the daytime or hanging around the tavern during the evenings?

Well, now you're seeing her again, somewhere else, even though it seems impossible for her to be in two places at once... unless...?

Anyhow, any prolonged staring will spur the tiefling to approach. ]

Is everything okay? You look like you've just seen something interesting!

[ There is a bear in their kitchen. It's a pretty weird-looking bear, too, with flowers covering its fur... and rather peculiar patterning, at that.

But nevertheless, there is a bear in their kitchen, rummaging around an upper cabinet with big bear claws while something is simmering away on the stove, with Ori nowhere to be found. Almost like a reverse Goldilocks situation, really... Oh no, what if the bear ate her!? ]

[Yeah, this is a bit perplexing. He blinks, glancing between her, and back towards town, where he swear he saw her like. Not fifteen minutes ago.]

Can you teleport yourself, or something?

[ So... there's a bear. This is probably something that happens in the woods sometimes? M-21 doesn't know. Within his limited memory he's always lived in the city.

But his human-with-some-wolf-additives brain sees bear before it sees "wow, that's funny camouflage coloring for a bear." M-21 hops — back, rather than forward, but in a flash his nails are now several inch long claws. ]

What the hell? [ Where is Ori. ] If you ate her, you're going in that pot next.

[ You tell that bear, M-21. ]

Hmm? Oh, I can, actually!

[ How did he know?? Especially since— ]

I think the Goddess took that magic away from me, though. I haven't been able to cast that spell since I arrived...

[ The bear hears M-21 coming in, and turns to greet him, only—

Oh, shit, Ori is still a bear.

Bear paws immediately come up as she continues to stand on her hind legs, waving them in a strangely anthropomorphic gesture, eyes wide when she sees how he has claws now. She really ought to turn back, but what if the suddenness of that only provokes him further!? ]

[Oh? Are there monsters here after all? Judith moves like a wolf. That is, as soon as she sees a moving target, she lunges for this not-eggbear like creature, her would be foraged items dropped by a tree in favour of a sharp pointy wooden spear. Because certain habits are hard to break and dealing with vicious snarly attacking monsters with no mercy is just pure instinct now.

Also, parts are always nice.

Better hope you can dodge Ori]

[ Isn't waving those paws menacingly even more provoking?? Truly, a fearless bear. Since M-21's threat has been disregarded, he lunges, barreling into the bear — miraculously not claws-first, because some part of wolf-brain is reserved for 'how will I explain to Ori (if she hasn't been eaten) why I have to clean bear blood off of our pristine kitchen."

Just tackling a flowery bear to the kitchen floor. As you do. ]

[ Judith moves like a wolf, and Oriphi is a platypus bear.

Thus, Bearphi has no idea she is there......... :') ]

[ just!! sad bear noises as she is duly tackled to the floor. if not for the fact that she's distressed, she would be so impressed by his strength...

down she goes... ]

[Platypus bear, meet your doom at the sharp end of a pointy stick.

Fortunately? Unfortunately, Judith is carrying a joke weapon. And so, it breaks as soon as it hits Bearphi's platypus snout.

It might still hurt a lot though]

[Judith lands on her feet, looking at the broken handle of her spear and at the playpus bear in front of her.

This might actually mean trouble]

[ That bear begins to shift, however, and there's a brief, decidedly magical flash of light that precedes the body beneath M-21's changing back into. Well. His small, purple roommate with the horns. ]

M— it's me! Ori!

[ SO, yes, that platypus bear just makes the SADDEST little sound when Judith lands her hit, but oddly enough, judging from the way it wobbles over and then picks the broken-off portion of her spear up from the ground... it's more sorry that it broke???

There's a brief magical girl transformation aura of magic that envelops the bear as its silhouette shifts and changes... into a short, purple lady with horns and a tail. ]

Um... I'm sorry I broke your spear.

[ A few days after that mess of a Town Hall meeting, and once the skies have cleared up once again, Ori comes knocking at Syrlya and Otegine's door with a basket of goodies. ]

Good afternoon! I promised a home-cooked meal for you sometime ago, and I thought I would check how you all are doing after the storm...!

[ Given Otegine's knowledge about how to weather these storms, she's sure they're fine, but... He helped her prepare for it, so she'd like to help in the aftermath! But more importantly: home-cooked meal!! ]
