Otegine
Once Otegine finally returns to the house, Syrlya is sitting in the living room tapping his foot with some impatience.
But he shoots up to his feet as soon as he hears the door.] Otegine?
no subject
Seeing that Syr's made it home, Otegine gives him a half wave as he kicks his shoes off at the front door.]
Hey, welcome home. Did you get all those errands of yours finished up okay?
no subject
Syrlya clasps his hands behind his back as he comes around.]
In fact, you're just in time. [He's been waiting for an hour.] I have something to show you.
no subject
[His attention is properly piqued, even as he grabs a washcloth from inside the bathroom to wipe off his hands and his face.]
Sure, uh... what did you find? Did someone go and send you home with more food again?
no subject
Actually... in the spirit of the season [Task board] I've a gift for you. You've been a wonderful roommate and a friend, so I wanted to show my appreciation for how hard you've worked properly.
no subject
His entire expressionwidens in genuine surprise.]
...Eh?
..
W-wait, for me? Are you sure?
[He hasn't been THAT good at all this, has he???]

...
Thank you. I'm... glad to have been useful to someone like you.

He reaches for Otegine's hand, to lead him to their bedroom. He pushes open the door and steps aside, letting Otegine free to look and wander around the room.
Not that he has to look far to find it, against the wall near his bed. A wooden stand, with intricate carvings creating an elegant texture, the arms designed to perfectly hold a twelve-foot spear (give or take an inch). A spear such as Otegine.]

Inside of a simple box is a long, silver pendant on a chain. The pendant is intricately molded in a style similar to the flourishes of Adelis' corset, a long cylinder a few inches in length that when twisted open reveals a sharp, thin knife.
The sheathe and twisted chain have well hidden hooks that allow a modular wear as a pendant necklace, circular, a bracelet, or wrapped around the arm.
And with the necklace, a note:]
Adelis,
Forgive me if this unbalanced your scales but I had already requested it made for the sake of the taskboard. Consider the return I get from that all the recompense needed.
You'll find the coating pure silver with a steel core for strength. Even if you never see another vampire again, I'm sure you can think of many more ways to use this than I could.

Trahearne
And at the door he knocks. He didn't ask ahead if he was busy. He supposes he'll find out in a second.]
no subject
Trahearne answers the door with book in hand, and he seems slightly dazed. Syrlya knows the look, though--he was engrossed in reading.
Oh, hello, Syrlya. [ He steps aside. Look how much bigger it is on the inside, too! ] Come in.

[ He lets the door close behind him, and comes to gently nudge Syrlya on the shoulder. ]
...I have my own room now.
no subject
Yeah, he didn't pick up on that suggestion. He offers the chrysanthemums.] First, for you. From our garden.
no subject
Trahearne's brows raise. He hadn't noticed the presents. ]
Oh.
[ He takes the flowers, cradling them gently, looking at the blossoms. There's a little flush on his cheeks. ]
Thank you.

[ Suspicious...
Trahearne beckons him to follow with a jerk of his head and takes him to the living room. The couch is the same, and so is Trahearne's spot. He sits there and pats the cushion beside him. ]
no subject
With his now free hand, he reaches for Trahearne's.] I have been grateful for this chance to be with you, really. And I wanted to express... I don't know how to say it with words, really, everything you are to me.
[He moves to turn Trahearne's hand so the palm is up. He rests his other hand over it, setting something small and cold to his palm.]
No matter what our future holds, my love for you is undying. And you will always have me.
[He shifts his hand so both are cradling under Trahearne's, revealing--a ring. A white-gold metal band with groove carvings and a natural resin filling an indent down the middle that preserves thin cuts of leaves in teal and dark purple.
Pieces of Syrlya, artfully cut to flow like a river around the band.]

Mishka
It's much better quality than Syrlya himself could manage, having gone ahead and commissioned the blacksmith after a couple failed attempts to make it in wire.
And, of course, a letter:]
Mishka,
Per your words: apropos of the task board, but not ingenuine. You saved me a lot of grief trying to get those flowers out of my body myself. I feel that owes a bit more than some letter-writing advice.
And despite our difference in certain matters, I can tell you are someone Trahearne has been confiding in. That, I also thank you for. I think you understand the feeling of seeing someone you care about and wanting to ensure they are surrounded by those who will care for them in turn.
Be well, and good luck. My offer always stands if you can ever think of any assistance you need in managing your curse.

Amber
Kaspar
Kaspar,
I understand you like to cook, though you may also enjoy these berries just as they are as well. Consider it my thanks for taking care of Trahearne as his roommate. I'm glad he has had someone so kind-hearted as you.
- Syrlya
Oriphi
Also in the basket is a folded letter.]
Ori,
Thank you again for the recommendation on the hydrangeas. I think he took them well.
I still have some seeds left over from the spring, before you arrived. If or when you have a greenhouse, you should be able to grow them no matter the season to offer in your shop. Or just to enjoy yourself.
- Syrlya
Barok van Zieks
There's also a couple cuttings of pink hydrangea, in case he wants to spruce up the house.]
Lord Barok van Zieks,
I hope Adelheid will enjoy some of these apples more than my hair. Although your efforts may not have borne the fruit you were hoping for, I do appreciate your consideration in us as a community.
