Hello, intrepid adventurer!

I am excited to have you along for a group excursion to the mysterious new island! In two days' time, let us gather in the town square and set off from there! Please be prepared to stay the night. It will be so fulfilling and memorable for everyone to spend a night on an adventure together!

On the promised day, once everyone (and likely a few surprise tag-alongs) has gathered or been gathered, Ori distributes little paper bags of snacks to everyone. Inside are cookies, oat snacks, and a freshly-picked apple from her and M-21's orchard. Do with them as you please... Just don't let her catch you throwing it into the sea or something. 🥺 ]

Alright. I think we should head out, then! Thanks for coming along, everyone! I hope it'll be a great time. Oh, and please don't forget to drink plenty of water and use this incredible ointment I discovered on this island! It's called "sunscreen!" Tieflings don't really get sunburnt, but you should use it!

[ There's no control whatsoever, not with the way those ropes pull taut any time you attempt move even an inch, and your legs feel sore from the seat. You glance back over at the clock, a sick feeling settling into your stomach, renewed each time the minute hand jumps ahead. There's not much time left before the performance, and all you can do is waste away here while your group's reputation gets tanked.

What a leader you are, huh? Trapped in this room while your members might be in the same predicament too and you can't do a single thing.

Useless.

One of the men talks on the phone, chatting away about some deal they have to go finalize once they let you go. ]

[framestory]

[ Ellis gets as the things align. This is Gaku's memory, and this must be the one when he was kidnapped. Feeling Gaku's feelings are... intense, at the very least and full of anxiety whenever he looks at the clock. Terrible all around. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

He wonders if the police are useless here. ]

[associative]

[ That thought may or may not get answered, because a loud rapping interrupts your thoughts. ]

Hey, open up! The cops are coming.

[ You sit up, curious as one of the men goes to the door and opens it a few inches. ]

Who are you?

[ He's immediately pushed to the side as the person knocking on the door enters. ]

Tsukumo-san sent us. Someone called the cops! We need to get the goods.

[ Although the voice is angry and out of place, it sounds so familiar that you can't help the way you sit up in shock. The relief that floods your body is like no other you've felt before. Your rivals have somehow figured out where you are, and now they're here to save you. ]

Mmph!

[ The duct tape just barely keeps you from blowing their cover—three members of IDOLiSH7 have come to save you. The man is practically steamrolled over by the one you know is Yamato in front, who glides past all of the man's rejections by telling him there's no time. Tamaki and Sougo follow right behind him as the three of them walk over to you and cut your bindings with a box cutter. ]

Get up!

[ Tamaki and Sougo lug you up and you allow them to easily, letting out muffled words behind the duct tape still over your mouth. Honestly, you're not even sure what you're trying to say. Maybe thanking them? It all feels like such a blur that you don't know what to do.

The men keeping you here continue to protest your removal, to the point that they pull out knives and point at the four of you. You freeze, eyes going wide as Yamato steps in front of you, blocking you from danger. A bead of sweat rolls down the side of your head as you try to keep your breathing regulated. Can they really pull this off? Will they manage this? It feels like all of you are in over your heads. ]

[ Wow. Is this how people normally experience fear? Ellis always had survival instincts get in the way of processing his emotions more for what they're supposed to be, so. Well. He doesn't like the scenario and it fills him with anxiety. Will they do good against men with knives?? ]

Get him out of here!

[ Yamato tries to get Sougo and Tamaki to push you out of the room, but the telltale sound of a sword unsheathing gets you, Yamato, and Tamaki to look back...

Only to see Sougo brandishing a sword. It may be a replica sword, but the way it shines underneath the lighting certainly makes it look threatening. You hop back as Sougo readies the sword, one of the other men brandishing a knife.

Yamato jumps between them. ]

Don't trigger him!

[ Sougo lifts up the sword. ]

Don't move.

[ That's enough to get the men to drop their knives and you look around at your friends and decide to book it. Adrenaline rushes through you as the four of you run through the outdoor mall. Fans recognize all of you, but a quick shout from Tamaki that you're filming seems to cause enough confusion that you remain unbothered.

However, all of you stop running when you realize Sougo is still clutching onto the sword. Anxiety pulls at you to go faster so you can get to the performance, even though by now it's surely too late to make it. At Tamaki's urging, he lets go. But before you can even suggest running again, a van emblazoned with your group pulls up. In the front seats are Momo and Yuki, and your heart swells once again.

Who knew that your friends would all show up to help you and your members? ]

[framestory]

[ It's been quite a thrill, and there's so much going on. That guy has a sword?? Hello?? He thought you guys were rivals in IDOLS, not combat.

Once the van pulls up, Ellis feels an unfamiliar emotion. Gaku's friends showing up to save him when he needed their help the most. Being able to depend on someone and accept their help. Having real friends.

... ]

[ Once in the car and onto the way to the venue, you finally start to settle down. It's become obvious now that you won't make it in time, a sigh escaping your lips as you settle back in your seat. But now you know that Ryu has at least made it back, so— ]

Ryu will sing for the both of us.

But...

[ You turn back towards Tamaki, a smile on your face and with fondness in your voice. ]

He's the strongest man in TRIGGER. He might be gentle and meek, but he's never run from a fight. We believe in him.

[ That last sentence is soft, the words whispered as you turn towards the window, but their quiet volume doesn't make your belief any less strong. Ryu is someone that you can rely on fully and know that he'll put his all into the performance. In fact, your belief in all of your friends is strong and unwavering—a solid, pleasant emotion that sits in your chest. With the people you trust and hold dear, those emotions are always intense, that feeling of loyalty you feel towards them equally as powerful.

That sole belief in Ryu is what keeps your anxiety at bay as you watch the city flash by in the window. ]

[ The thing about this perspective is that Ellis can feel "himself" say what Gaku says, so it's a surreal experience all around. Not to mention these feelings that he's never had before in his existence. People to trust, to be loyal towards, ones who are placed utmost importance on. If platonic feelings can be so strong, he wonders if love would be even stronger. He's still a little fearful of when that day comes, but for now, he feels like he's understood a lot more about Gaku.

And that sits well with him for now as he enjoys the warmth of the relief Gaku feels. ]

[ When you get to the venue, you immediately meet up with Tenn, Riku and Mitsuki. A surge of relief rushes through you when you can see that Tenn is safe. It's one thing to know and another to see for yourself, after all.

You and Tenn are ushered to the dressing room, where everyone else is waiting, and before you can even fully enter the room someone comes rushing at the two of you. ]

Boys! I'm so glad you're alright!

[ It's your manager, hugging the both of you tight. How strange that she's come to care for the three of you, despite working against you in the beginning. You feel fondness creeping into your chest for her, a new feeling when she's been a thorn in your side in the past. But it's nice, knowing you can add her to the list of people you can depend on. Tenn apologizes for worrying her as she finally backs away.

Ryu immediately steps towards the two of you. ]

Sorry. I sang our new song by myself. Let's sing it together next time.

[ You nod and agree, a grin pulling at your cheeks as your heart swells. Singing it together next time feels like a promise for the future, even though everything feels so turbulent right now. It's something to look forward to, something to work towards.

But then you frown, the knowledge that Ryu probably felt anxious and guilt-ridden setting in. ]

Sorry for making you stand onstage alone.

[ Tenn thanks Ryu too, smiling as he says: ]

I'm proud to be part of the same group as you.

[ Tears form at the corners of Ryu's eyes, threatening to spill although he manages to hold them back. Fondness swells inside your chest again, along with resolve. What happened was a stressful nightmare, but things will be fine from now on. You have your members to rely on, after all. ]
