[ On Fall 15th, a notice goes up on the noticeboard advertising a karaoke party at Cozy Kitchen on Fall 20th. It may be easy to miss with all of the pirate chaos, but Lucia will put a sign at the front of the restaurant to remind her fellow farmers of the event.

When Fall 20th rolls around, the smell of Lucia's food can be smelled from outside in town square. One may also catch another redhead bringing alcohol from his winery into the restaurant, or people from the other neighboring bar moving equipment into Cozy Kitchen. When everything's said and done, the restaurant is left with a nice evening setup. It's a small-ish space but there is plenty of food and alcohol for people to indulge in, as well as non-alcoholic drinks like tea and water. The karaoke machine is set up, and there are board games from the store that people can play while they're here.

People are free to sing, open mic style, as many times as they'd like. At some point during the party, however, Lucia will make it a point to play some slower songs on the machine and cite that it's been a while since the dance in Spring. Now might be a good chance to get one last dance in with someone before Winter hits! Finally, party games will be inevitable, so go ahead and participate or run your own. ]

[ Whoops. As soon as Ori spots him, the glare vanishes again. ...It did kind of hurt his ears, but that's not the point. ]

No, uh... it was nice. The part about making memories.

[ Ori can't help but sigh in relief before she looks down, lips drawing into a thin line as she blushes. ]

Yeah? I was thinking of you when I said it, you know...

[ She reaches for his hand. ]

[ Handholding... M-21 gives a little glance around, though he doesn't let it stop him from reaching out to take her hand. ]

...And about the other part?

[ He's maybe teasing a tiny bit. He's not mad if he's also a "frustrating situation," alright. ]

[ Oh. She realizes that he's teasing, though she doesn't mind it. As long as they can agree that he can definitely be a "frustrating situation." (And honestly, so can she.) ]

...Maybe that part, too.

Do you want to sit down with me for a bit? You haven't been standing around the whole time, have you?

[ He gives a tiny snort of a laugh. She's holding his hand, so he's pretty sure she's not mad. ]

Security guard. It's a habit.

[ But he nods anyway. Sitting with her is better than lurking and watching her, probably. ]

[ Nooo... His tiny snort-laughs are so endearing. She simply offers a warm smile before she's leading them over to a vacant table - still somewhat in the periphery of where people are singing or dancing or playing games, for his sake. She lets go of his hand for just a quick moment to turn and grab some food before she properly joins him at the table. Has he been eating at all while standing around?? It's fine. She will feed him. ]

That was... The job that Rai gave you, right? No wonder you're always so alert and protective.

[ Flashbacks to the bear incident... and the pirate incident... ]

Yeah. Well, Frankenstein. ...He works for Rai.

[ Is that the easiest way to explain that relationship? "He looks after Rai." "He leaves Rai written instructions on how to make coffee or open doors."

...There's a lot about his life that is hard to explain, when he really thinks about it. Luckily, there's probably not a ton about his life that he needs to explain anymore. He leans back in his chair as he watches her with the food. ]

[ Probably good if she eats. Especially if she's been drinking. ]

[ Oh, he's mentioned Frankenstein before. The man who helped stabilize M-21's body after the experiments... Someone she would have to thank if she somehow ever had a chance to meet him, probably.

She takes a spoonful of fried rice and nods at his question while she chews. ]

Mmhmm.

[ But when she's done with that bite, she's of course scooping up another bite and holding the spoon for him, just like with their cruise date. It this too gross of them? Oh well. ]

Being at a lively place with food and drinks and people singing reminds me a lot of the taverns back home.

[ Who's going to tell them they can't? Who would dare?

He's already been trained by the cruise date. He leans in to take that spoonful of fried rice cooperatively. Though he's maybe going to glance around to see if anyone's staring at them while he eats. ]

"Tavern" always sounds like more drunks. Barfights.

[ Not that he should rule out a fight at this party, probably. ]

[ She has no idea how to explain this without confusing poor Ori, so she'll leave it at that. ]
