[ On Fall 15th, a notice goes up on the noticeboard advertising a karaoke party at Cozy Kitchen on Fall 20th. It may be easy to miss with all of the pirate chaos, but Lucia will put a sign at the front of the restaurant to remind her fellow farmers of the event.

When Fall 20th rolls around, the smell of Lucia's food can be smelled from outside in town square. One may also catch another redhead bringing alcohol from his winery into the restaurant, or people from the other neighboring bar moving equipment into Cozy Kitchen. When everything's said and done, the restaurant is left with a nice evening setup. It's a small-ish space but there is plenty of food and alcohol for people to indulge in, as well as non-alcoholic drinks like tea and water. The karaoke machine is set up, and there are board games from the store that people can play while they're here.

People are free to sing, open mic style, as many times as they'd like. At some point during the party, however, Lucia will make it a point to play some slower songs on the machine and cite that it's been a while since the dance in Spring. Now might be a good chance to get one last dance in with someone before Winter hits! Finally, party games will be inevitable, so go ahead and participate or run your own. ]

[ Of course Gaku is here, and he's one of the first to break in the karaoke machine. As expected of an idol, he has a nice singing voice, and he's obviously been trained in performing. He isn't out to have a full performance though, instead treating this casually enough that he invites whoever he spots watching him up to have a duet.

Later on, he'll be next to the board games, looking through them to see what he's most in the mood for. He's got it narrowed down to a couple—Sorry! and Guess Who. When he can feel someone else nearby, he looks up and grins. ]

[ Once he's had his fill of games (and punched out that square on his card), Lucia has started to put on some slower songs. Figuring he might as well dance, he offers a hand to whoever might be close to him. ]

Hello, Gaku! You sounded wonderful, earlier. I'm so glad I got to hear you sing!

[ She's a little tipsy, and when he asks her for a dance, she smiles. Just like old times! ]

I would love to. Actually, this is a good time for me to talk to you about something...

[ He can tell that she's a bit tipsy, so he's careful to take her hands and guide her gently into a slowdance. ]

Thanks. [ He smiles. ] What is it?

[ She'll let him guide her, even though her footing is a little clumsy and loose. ]

I was just thinking about...if Noé and I end up getting married here. Y'know? And...if we do, I really want you to be the one to walk me down the aisle. Be my Man of Honor. You know, all of that.

[ Lucia thankfully doesn't have to worry, because he moves his hand to her back, holding her steady—but he does leave room for Jesus. ]

I'd love to, Lucia. I'm honored you're asking me.

Y-you mean that?!

[ She's a little more excited than usual, thanks to Gaku. She smiles and laughs happily, freely -- ]

[ He smiles softly. ]

[ Thanks, bestie! Her cheeks are flushed and she's swaying in a more relaxed manner than usual, but her words are sincere. ]

[ time is a concept, so whenever it is appropriate in terms of the timing of singing to dancing, uta will approach gaku with an easy smile on her face. there will be absolutely no pretext for what she's about to say to him in full earnest. ]

Hi Gaku, I want you to know that I appreciate you. I'm so grateful to have been able to talk to someone about singing and performing. [ placing a hand over her heart. ] I've never sang a duet before and it's an experience that I'll hold dear.

Each season here has been special to me and I'm happy that I've been able to share them with you.

[ He doesn't need any pretext, because what she says makes him so happy!!! He grins, soft and sweet and wide. ]

I'm glad that I've gotten to know you too, Uta. You're a really sweet girl, and I think you deserve whatever good things come your way.

[ it's funny that he says this now verses earlier because the answer would have been different. as it stands, uta's expression will soften as she keeps smiling. ]

I think so, too.

Have you decided on what you are going to do when the time comes?

[ He's glad that she agrees! She deserves it!! ]

When it's time to leave? I'm planning on marrying Ellis and taking him back with me, if that's what he decides he wants.

[ He's going to ask what Ellis wants before making any final decisions, though. But this is a pretty big step for him, considering that he was so hesitant when it came to the idea of marriage before. All of this is about compromise, though, isn't it? This is the only way for him to bring Ellis back with him and he doesn't think he'll regret it.

Gaku leans toward Uta, smiling conspiratorially. ]

But don't tell him that's what I'm planning. You gotta make proposals a surprise, right?

[ He Xuan has been mostly wallflowering, staying away from too much excitement or any, enjoying the food. But he's...here. He was only slightly curious about what kind of other 'games' were present.

Though, his idea of such things are not nearly so colorful as 'Sorry' or 'Guess Who'. Usually his interest in such things would also be small, but, well. Maybe participating is how he can show his appreciation. ]

You would need to teach me how to play.

[ But he will sit down and listen to any instructions the other had to give. ]

[ He grins when he spots He Xuan heading his way, and he motions for him to sit down as he starts unboxing Guess Who. ]

No problem!

[ Gaku gives He Xuan a board filled with pictures, and turns it so that all the pictures are facing He Xuan and away from Gaku. ]

So, we'll each pick a person from each board and try to guess who the other person picked. You'll ask questions like "does your person have a mustache" and if I say yes, you'll knock down every single portrait of someone that doesn't have a mustache to narrow down your guess. In the same way, if I had said no, you'd knock down every portrait of a person with a mustache. Make sense?

[ If so, Gaku will pick out his person.

[ He Xuan indeed listens. The game seems simple enough.

He too will quietly pick his person, looking at the small image held between his fingers. In some ways, people might argue guessing games are more difficult than moving pieces across the board, and capturing them within the opportune movement. Others might consider them simply puerile. But, it sounds interesting enough. ]

Makes sense.

Then, we can start. I'll go first:

Does the one you so happen to have chosen have blond hair?

[ He will look expectantly, but also curiously at Gaku, ready to hear his answer. ]

[ Gaku grins, leaning forward a bit. ]

Nope. [ Heh! ]

Does your person have a mustache?

[ A small huff as he knocks down the blonds. He's eliminating the possibilities, at least. But now he's committed to winning this...not that he cares!! ]

No.

[ ... ]

Does yours?

Yeah.

[ Ugh!! Gaku hums, looking at the spread of characters before him. ]

Does yours have a hat?

[ Gotcha.

...Or, well, he'd say that but he knows this little fight isn't over yet. ]

No.

Does your person have brown hair?

d...duet?? unlikely..

[ She is, of course, a stan!! Not that she knows what that means. But she watches with rapt attention as Gaku performs, although the moment he makes eye contact with her she simply waves at him with a smile, not realizing that he's trying to get a duet partner up on stage with him.

[ He reaches out a hand towards her in a more explicit invitation to join him. ]

[ nnnnnooooo no no no no. How about a chocolate instead?? She's fishing one out of her little pouch and placing it squarely into his palm. ]

[ it's one of the "make you or your neighbors tell people what you love most about them" ones... ]

[ He's pretty wary of chocolates after several Incidents with them, but for Ori? He'll have one. How bad could it possibly be?

It might be worse for her, honestly, as he stops the music and speaks to her again, the mic still close to his mouth. ]

You know... you're really sweet. I like how encouraging you are to everyone around you, and how you do your best to support everyone. You're also pretty humble despite doing some really amazing things.

[ Oh, it's definitely worse for her.

She hadn't thought this through, honestly; Gaku was supposed to stop altogether and just say it to her face, not... say it in to the microphone! She keeps forgetting that blasted contraption projects voices even when someone isn't singing! What is this sorcery!!! ]

Oh... Oh no, Gaku!! You weren't supposed to say it into the microphone!? Agh—

[ HELP... the music stopped and everything... She's just covering her face with her hands now. ]

Gaku at least takes it away from himself, but only because she's so clearly embarrassed. ]

But I want everyone to know what I think! Is that so bad?
