As the end of the year rapidly approaches, winter’s unrelenting chill miraculously gives way to warmer weather and sunnier skies. Perhaps winters are simply brief and mild on Crescentview island, but the townsfolk will tell you the Goddess often blesses those bound to be wed with fair weather on their big day. With so many weddings on the horizon, that certainly lends credence to the notion that the Goddess honors the sacred unity between lovers and richly blesses them accordingly.

The end of the year also signals the approach of the next, and with it, a chance to start anew in the spring. While many events and holidays are hosted on the island, few are celebrated as broadly as New Year's Eve, so those preparing to be wed should ensure they leave time to think up some resolutions together.

Very few crops can withstand winter's unrelenting chill and consistent snowfall. This is the season to clear out your field and turn the soil in preparation for the upcoming spring.

love is in the air

Can you hear those church bells ringing? They’ll certainly be doing just that quite often during the latter half of winter as a grand total of 13 weddings will be taking place before the end of the year. Some will be hosting open weddings while others have opted to invite only their closest loved ones and friends, and who knows? Perhaps some have told no one at all and plan to elope!

Islanders are encouraged to spend the remainder of the year celebrating with those whom they’ve become close to, perhaps even inseparably, by attending and participating in their sacred unities. As such, the Goddess has prepared a special punch card for attendees to earn special rewards through their attendance.

Make a top level here with your punch card. As your character attends each Sacred Unity, add a link your tag-in and a stamp to start earning rewards. We're operating on a good faith system for this final event, so there's no need to wait around for mod approval on your rewards! Just do us a favor and make sure your links aren't broken (we like to snoop, shh...)

All one needs to do to start accruing stamps is attend some Sacred Unities (including their own). Simple as that! Each Sacred Unity attended will result in one stamp being added onto their card via the Goddess' magic. Stamps can then be exchanged for any of the following items in no particular order. Check out what rewards wait in store!

A book of Interdimensional Traveler's Coupons. These neat little coupons are imbued with strong magic that will allow you to travel from world to world— provided you know someone who lives there! No longer is your choice limited to returning to one home or another after you leave the island.

An ornate gold-plated King's Crown. Aside from making you look kingly (or foolish, depending on who you're asking), the King's Crown will allow you to make yourself the king during a round of king's game, thus usurping whoever was originally chosen. Let's hope you're a compassionate and reasonable ruler. This item can only be used once, so plan wisely!

The Honeymooner's Sinful Sachet. This nondescript silk bag has a lot of... salacious items hidden away inside of it. Several sets of lingerie perfectly suited for you & your lover's body types have been included along with aphrodisiacs that promise to keep you and your lover(s) ruckin' all night long. There are also sets of kinky dice, edible underwear, ropes, vibrators, and other arguably tasteless toys to keep your wedding night delightfully spicy.

A pair of Companion Fairies that you can take back home with you! Those buff fairies sure were helpful, weren't they? Or perhaps you felt a certain kinship to one of the Goddess' fashion-forward fairies. Either way, the Goddess is allowing you to take two of her loyal followers back home with you... but whether or not they'll report your whereabouts back to her is nothing they're willing to disclose.

Your very own vacation home! ...Well, kinda. While the option to return home exists to those tying the knot, this reward with bestow you with a special ring that will allow you and anyone you choose to return to Crescentview island and the farm you've built here. Isn't that nifty? With this, you won't have to worry about who will care for your animals after you've departed.

ringing in the new year

The new year is almost upon us! Though many of Crescentview's farmers are returning home and taking their partners with them, they'll have the opportunity to celebrate the coming of spring before packing up to leave.

Every Winter 30th, a grand celebration takes place on the beach where vendors from the mainland have come to set up stalls with food and games. You can snack on everything from buckwheat noodles to mochi, and if you're feeling bold, why don't you draw your fortune slip and see what your luck's looking like for the new year? There's also a wish tree set up in the center of the venue. Who knows? Maybe the Goddess will hear your prayers and bless you with a miracle. It certainly doesn't hurt to try!

king for a day

It's finally time for King's Game! We'll be hosting several rounds of King's Game on the 25th. For those who have never played, the rules are pretty simple:

1. ICly, Everyone draws a stick and is assigned a number corresponding to the number of characters playing. OOCly, numbers will be assigned via rng.

2. The host will then choose a random number. The character holding that number is the round's king.

3. The king will assign each of the other players with a task to complete. Remember: the king's word is law!

We'll look forward to seeing you there for guaranteed chaos and shenanigans. We don't have a set time that we're going to begin King's Game, but we'll be hosting several rounds ourselves and will hand off the crown (hehe) to any players interested in hosting a few rounds themselves afterwards. As usual, we'll send out a message via the discord when we're set to begin.

Frankly they are both better than I deserve. I am certain that upon my first meeting of both of them I insulted them to their face. This did not dissuade either of them, nor did my general dour demeanor. Kaspar has the gentleness of a lamb but the fierce resolve of a warrior when needed. His strength is... immensely attractive.
[A slightly suspect emojis appears behind his head at this, for a moment.]
But his immeasurable kindness in the face of what sort of life he has lived... he may come across as timid but he is a far stronger man than me.

And if Kaspar is radiant like the stars in the sky, Sylvando is the midday sun. At first I thought his enthusiasm too effusive to be sincere, but I cam to realize he is simply the sort of man who cannot be slowed down by setbacks, but rather blazes through them with the sort of utter confidence I can only imagine. He is unapologetically himself, and even if he is perhaps an unorthodox one, the bravest most dashing knight I know.
