[ Welcome to the wedding ceremony & reception for Aether and Vanitas! The couple's chosen time for the wedding is in the evening, when the sky is dark and the stars can be seen more clearly. They have a general wedding theme with a lot of greenery – vines are wrapped around the poles of the tent above, in which lights and star-themed decorations are hanging from the canopy. Each table has a nice, full bouquet with forget-me-nots. There are no name cards and seating is open, meaning everyone can sit wherever they'd like.

The ceremony is short and sweet. Noé stands next to Vanitas as his worst best man, while Amber escorts Aether down the aisle before the couple meets at the altar. Vanitas looks especially nervous, but there are no dramatics when Aether approaches, which is probably for the best – just them taking each other's hands. Surprisingly, there is no exchanging of vows, either.

Vanitas and Aether have chosen to keep everything about the ceremony short and simple, but the look in their eyes is unmistakable – they are truly endeared with one another, which makes the ceremony all the more sweet. The kiss they share at the end is chaste and shy, but very earnest nevertheless. They aren't one for public displays of affection, anyway.

Still, it's a cozy evening. Congrats to the newlyweds. ]



[ The reception table has something akin to a guest book. It's more like a little board that has a picture of the night sky in the middle, and Aether & Vanitas' names beneath it. It is equipped with pens that people can use to write or draw messages for them! ]



[ Their cake is appropriately themed, too! Some faeries can be found slicing it and handing it out to everyone, so you might have to fight them for seconds, if you so desire… Because they will put up a fight and insist the rest of the cake is for the happy couple! (Neither Aether nor Vanitas will agree to this.)

Both regular and alcoholic beverages are available, and the main entree is Sweet Madame with bonus tarte tatin slices available, should anyone not feel up for fighting the faeries for wedding cake! ]



[ The faeries had a hand in some of the planning – well, more like they decided to do some things for the married couple on their own – because they will announce that there will be an open mic for those who want to give any speeches for the married couple! Of course, you're welcome to use the mic for other things, too, but there's no karaoke machine to be found this time, sadly.

Otherwise, the reception is very relaxed, and there isn't much of a program! It's open for mingling with the married couple, as well as with the other guests. ]

[ Vanitas is unusually quiet after the ceremony. He's not out and talking with people; he was never one for socializing that wasn't super necessary, anyway. While there's something to be said about the necessity of speaking to your wedding guests, Vanitas seems a little too content to sit at his table beside Aether as he enjoys his food. That being said, if anyone wants to approach during dinner, he won't turn them away.

He's also making a face at the tarte tatin, like he's scrutinizing it. He also takes a bite out of his slide of the wedding cake. Eugh. Too sweet.

You can also catch him fighting some faeries, especially when the open mic is announced – ]

Hey! We didn't agree to this!

[ And, in typical Vanitas fashion, he can be found chasing after the faeries responsible as they laugh at the groom running after them. Whoops!

Feel free to also wildcard Vanitas for anything! Generally, he's sort of keeping to himself. Social events like these, in which he's not here to cause a ruckus or yell about vampires, are completely out of his element. Thank you for attending! ]

[Surprise, Vanitas! Your invite got to Owen, unfortunately enough. Also unfortunately, Owen has decided that since this is as close to a send off as they can get... a throwback to their first meeting is in order.

The witch has at least dressed up for the occasion, grey hair pinned up neatly, with subtle makeup and manicured nails. There's a sly grin on her face as she approaches, catching the face he's making at his tarte tatin and the cake.]

Is it not to your liking, Vanitas?

[She'll take the slice if he doesn't want it tho.]

[ As soon as Owen shows up, Vanitas knows why Owen is like this today. Her outfit is so loud, and he is suddenly exhausted. But, he did toss an invitation Owen's way after their conversation at the bar that one night, so he supposes he should have expected this. He liked Owen a lot better when they were drunk!!! ]

It's way too sweet.

[ He pushes his plate towards Owen. ]

[Lovecraft is not the sort of person to go up and engage in conversation, especially with a relative stranger, but...his curiosity wins out in this instance. To his understanding, this is one of the people who got married, so...]

[He's peering at the tarte tatin. He has his own slice in hand.]

[ And Noé can attest to how good Vanitas' baking is. That's why he doesn't seem too satisfied with the slice in front of him, but more importantly, there's something else that's more interesting than the dessert. ]

Hmm? I haven't seen you around before. A newcomer, are you? Just in time for wedding season, too.

[ He Xuan isn't going to get up in the couples' business when they're having private moments with one another, but he does show up!!

...Probably mostly for the food, but he did somewhat get to know Aether, so maybe that too?

[ Wow... greedy as ever. ]

[ Oh, hi there, mister. Vanitas has seen him around, and he especially remembers He Xuan from the date auction. Is he here because of Aether? Huh, that would be weird... Well, it's a public wedding, anyway. And at least He Xuan will take the tarte tatin, which Vanitas is pushing towards him. ]

Take the whole thing. It's too sweet for my liking.

[ He feels a little smug about this, since he was the one to give Vanitas advice, but he does his best not to let it show… ]

[ He's still running, running...and while the faerie's giggling at him, they run face-first into Ellis. Oops! Vanitas stops and growls at them – ]

If you're going to make such a big deal about wedding planning, you shouldn't be messing with the guests!

[ The faerie looks at Ellis apologetically. Sorry, sorry! ]

[ At some point, Ori approaches Vanitas whilst he's keeping to himself with a serving of the tarte tatin, but she gets distracted by a wilting centerpiece on one of the tables. With a simple touch and a quick spell, the flora seems to perk up quite a bit.

Anyway. She greets him with a wave and holds up her little plate of dessert. ]

I don't suppose you made the tarte tatin for your own wedding, did you?

[ Then with a smile: ] And - congratulations, Vanitas!

[ Oh, it's Ori. Vanitas' demeanor suddenly shifts into something more awkward. He clears his throat and shakes his head. ]

If I did, the flavor wouldn't be so unbalanced.

[ What a critic. He gets a little sheepish at her congratulatory message, though, and huffs. ]

...Thanks. [ ... ] He liked the flowers.

[ Oh, he really liked them. ]

[ Vanitas might not be here to yell about vampires, but a vampire is here to yell about Vanitas. Right to the open mic too, so no one will miss this. ]

So... when I met Vanitas for the first time, I thought he was very unhinged.

[ Oh my god. Vanitas is currently trying to chase around some faeries, and then Noé's voice booms over the speakers. He freezes, and turns around – ]

NOÉ!

[ He's going to change his course and beeline towards the vampire instead. There's time to keep going, though! ]

[He watches the little back and forth between Aether's new husband and the gaggle of fairies for a little bit, waiting for Vanitas to finish chewing them out before bothering to approach the poor groom.]

( UNLIKE THE SPEECH GIVEN BY NOÉ, AMBER'S WON'T BE FOCUSED ON EMBARRASSING ONE OF THE GROOMS ... well, actually, that's subjective. It might embarrass both of them! But not out of humiliation - it's purely because of how sappy it is. But how can she resist?! It's her bestie's wedding! )

I'd like to say a few words for the grooms! ( With the mic in hand, she begins: )

Hello, everyone! I'm Amber, I've known Aether for a very long time now, and I got to meet Vanitas in this place.

I met Aether when he arrived in Mondstadt one day out of the blue. It was just a casual meeting! You know, saying hi to someone, almost arresting them, then getting attacked by a dragon ... ( LAUGHING TRACK ) You know! Usual stuff.

The Traveller impressed me the first time that I met him. He could really work a sword, fight Hilichurls, and even cook! But as we know, not everyone's perfect. In the ways I saw him crash land during his gliding exam, I see he's crash landed directly into Vanitas' heart! ( MORE LAUGHING TRACK ) Eventually, he conquered his gliding exam, and went on to achieve many great feats all across this beautiful land of ours. The time we spent together was something I always cherished. I can't say that climbing to the top of a church cathedral tower when no one is looking is a normal activity for everyone - but hey!

For Vanitas, though - he's a new face in my life, but one I already cherish. I trust him to look after our beloved Traveller's heart and keep it safe. I know that no matter what hurdles you face in your marriage to one another, you'll get through all of them and arrive safe and sound on the other side. After all, if the Traveller can survive being consumed by an Anemo Slime, he can definitely work things out with his spouse. ( TIME FOR ONE MORE TERRIBLE JOKE: ) It has been a very emotional day ... and some of you may have noticed that even the cake is in tiers.

( WHO LET HER BE SO FUNNY!! )

Okay! Now, I'm going to ask everyone to raise their glasses and – for those who still can – stand, and raise a glass to the newlyweds! ( CHEERS!! ) Both of you are meant for each other, and I pray to the God of Wind that the love which binds you never breaks. Be each other's solace always, and no mountain will be too high. Happy married life, you guys! Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness.

[ Amber...please. She at least won't be stopped like Noé was, but Vanitas is very embarrassed after all of that. Also, all those terrible jokes absolutely destroyed him. There isn't an ounce of his soul left.

He appreciates it, though. Being celebrated and spoken highly of isn't a common occurrence with him. ]

[Who would've thought the traveler would "settle down" and marry someone, huh? Aether can be seen smiling brightly by his husband's side. He will also personally make sure that everyone's gathered has a good time, so he will approach you to ask if you need anything.

[ Oh? He's approaching her!? She's approaching back! Because of course, she has to congratulate Aether, too. He and Vanitas were some of the first customers at her shop, so she holds them in a special regard.

It will always be so, so sweet (and funny) to her that they visited her practically back to back... ]

[ While Aether's being a good host and handing out cake slices, Vanitas is yelling at his guests instead (well, one in particular). Still, Vanitas has been quietly checking on Aether throughout the entire event, making sure he's not too fussed about things, and that he's taking time to eat and stay hydrated. When Vanitas has a moment, he considers asking his husband to dance...but first, he'll slide over a piece of wedding cake with a little grin on his face. Aether might enjoy it more than he does, after all. ]

You're working harder than you need to, you know. Did you have a slice yet?

[When he sees Vanitas offering him the slice of the cake, Aether grins at him.]

I'm so used to helping others and being relied on, that I can't help myself.

[He looks at the cake, then back at his husband. There's a hint of mischievous in his eyes.]

I haven't gotten to tasting the cake yet, but... I'm so tired, I don't think I have any strength left to eat. Help me?

[He's joking!!]

[At least Otegine is just as towering as usual and easily spotted by the food, expression lighting up when he sees Aether approaching.]
