[ Welcome to the wedding ceremony & reception for Aether and Vanitas! The couple's chosen time for the wedding is in the evening, when the sky is dark and the stars can be seen more clearly. They have a general wedding theme with a lot of greenery – vines are wrapped around the poles of the tent above, in which lights and star-themed decorations are hanging from the canopy. Each table has a nice, full bouquet with forget-me-nots. There are no name cards and seating is open, meaning everyone can sit wherever they'd like.

The ceremony is short and sweet. Noé stands next to Vanitas as his worst best man, while Amber escorts Aether down the aisle before the couple meets at the altar. Vanitas looks especially nervous, but there are no dramatics when Aether approaches, which is probably for the best – just them taking each other's hands. Surprisingly, there is no exchanging of vows, either.

Vanitas and Aether have chosen to keep everything about the ceremony short and simple, but the look in their eyes is unmistakable – they are truly endeared with one another, which makes the ceremony all the more sweet. The kiss they share at the end is chaste and shy, but very earnest nevertheless. They aren't one for public displays of affection, anyway.

Still, it's a cozy evening. Congrats to the newlyweds. ]



[ The reception table has something akin to a guest book. It's more like a little board that has a picture of the night sky in the middle, and Aether & Vanitas' names beneath it. It is equipped with pens that people can use to write or draw messages for them! ]



[ Their cake is appropriately themed, too! Some faeries can be found slicing it and handing it out to everyone, so you might have to fight them for seconds, if you so desire… Because they will put up a fight and insist the rest of the cake is for the happy couple! (Neither Aether nor Vanitas will agree to this.)

Both regular and alcoholic beverages are available, and the main entree is Sweet Madame with bonus tarte tatin slices available, should anyone not feel up for fighting the faeries for wedding cake! ]



[ The faeries had a hand in some of the planning – well, more like they decided to do some things for the married couple on their own – because they will announce that there will be an open mic for those who want to give any speeches for the married couple! Of course, you're welcome to use the mic for other things, too, but there's no karaoke machine to be found this time, sadly.

Otherwise, the reception is very relaxed, and there isn't much of a program! It's open for mingling with the married couple, as well as with the other guests. ]

[Who would've thought the traveler would "settle down" and marry someone, huh? Aether can be seen smiling brightly by his husband's side. He will also personally make sure that everyone's gathered has a good time, so he will approach you to ask if you need anything.

[ Oh? He's approaching her!? She's approaching back! Because of course, she has to congratulate Aether, too. He and Vanitas were some of the first customers at her shop, so she holds them in a special regard.

It will always be so, so sweet (and funny) to her that they visited her practically back to back... ]

Aether! Congratulations! Today has been such a beautiful day! Thank you for inviting all of us...

[A bright smile appears on his face when he sees that she's approaching him back.]

Thank you! And thank you for coming, Ori!

[Look at him, he's almost glowing today, even if his cheeks are a bit red.]

Is there anything you need? Something I can help with?

[Old habits die hard as they say...]

[ The moment that Aether starts to fuss, Ori waves her hand dismissively. Old habits really do die hard... She understands, because if she'd had a wedding like this of her own, she would be doing the exact same thing. ]

Aether! Goodness... I'm having a fantastic time, and if there's anything I need I can get it myself. Please don't worry and just enjoy your special day!

[startraveler]

[He laughs a little.]

I will, don't worry.

[He sighs, then presses a hand to his heart.]

...It's all just so hard to believe.

[But he's happy.]

[ Ori tips her head to one side with a smile. ]

It feels surreal, doesn't it? I'm finding it all hard to believe, too... But in the best way!

[startraveler]

[He nods with a smile.]

I feel the same. [He casts his gaze around the area, searching for Vanitas.] ...Arriving here was one of the best things that happened to me.

[hearthwarming]

[ Giggling, Ori nudges him lightly with her elbow before pointing to wherever Vanitas is. ]

You'll be taking him along with you on your travels after this, won't you?

[startraveler]

[He laughs.]

Of course. There's no way I could leave him behind.

[He wants to be with Vanitas for as long as they are allowed to be.]

[hearthwarming]

[ Ori doesn't know Vanitas or Aether on a personal level very well, and doesn't know what their circumstances are, but she does know that the decision to leave one's world to follow another into theirs is not a decision to be made lightly. And she also know that the one they've made means that Aether can continue on his journey to find his sister, and for that alone she can only be happy for them. ]

Mm. Wonderful. Then you'll have someone to share your burdens with! And to introduce your sister to, when you find her!

[ Not if - when. Just because she doesn't know him well, doesn't mean she can't hope for the best for him. And as someone who went on her own journey to find her sister, well... She has to root for him, of course. ]

[startraveler]

[He knows why she says it this way and he appreciates it, yet his smile falls just a little bit.]

Yes. I... hope I can do that soon.

[Also because Vanitas doesn't have that much time, unlike the twins who have more than anyone would ever wish for.]

[hearthwarming]

[ Ah. She struck a bittersweet chord with him, she feels. With a gentle hand reaching out to rest on her shoulder, she offers another reassuring smile. ]

You're also not alone anymore, Aether. And I don't just mean Vanitas. I know there were plenty of you here from Teyvat, but... You have a few of us from this place now, too. I'm not exactly sure how we'll all be able to keep in touch once we're separated, but if there's ever a way... I'll come to Teyvat and help find your sister!

dancing (eventually)!

[ While Aether's being a good host and handing out cake slices, Vanitas is yelling at his guests instead (well, one in particular). Still, Vanitas has been quietly checking on Aether throughout the entire event, making sure he's not too fussed about things, and that he's taking time to eat and stay hydrated. When Vanitas has a moment, he considers asking his husband to dance...but first, he'll slide over a piece of wedding cake with a little grin on his face. Aether might enjoy it more than he does, after all. ]

You're working harder than you need to, you know. Did you have a slice yet?

[startraveler]

[When he sees Vanitas offering him the slice of the cake, Aether grins at him.]

I'm so used to helping others and being relied on, that I can't help myself.

[He looks at the cake, then back at his husband. There's a hint of mischievous in his eyes.]

I haven't gotten to tasting the cake yet, but... I'm so tired, I don't think I have any strength left to eat. Help me?

[He's joking!!]

[ Oh. Ohhh. Vanitas catches on to what Aether means, and his cheeks turn pink, but he's also an exceptionally good mood. He'll sigh half-heartedly and reach for the fork, cut off a piece of the cake, and hold it out towards Aether.

He tries hard not to smile at him, but he can't help it. He ends up grinning anyway. ]

I suppose I'll make an exception.

[startraveler]

[Aether has no restraints though. He laughs, before closing his eyes and leaning forward to eat the cake. It's sweet but he's enjoying it!]

Lucky me that you're willing to make an exception.

[He's beaming, obviously amused.]

[unchainer]

I don't usually like things that are particularly sweet, but –

[ That smile looks so good on him, and Vanitas can't help but sneak in a chaste kiss to Aether's lips. It's quick, since he's still embarrassed about public displays of affection, but Aether makes it hard to resist. ]

[startraveler]

[Aether keeps on smiling, but that kiss, along with Vanitas words makes him blink and blush slightly.]

I'm glad.

[He still can't believe that he's not dreaming.]

[unchainer]

[ His expression softens a little, and after a moment of consideration, he nudges the back of his hand against Aether's. ]

When you've finished eating, I'd like to ask you for a dance.

[ It'll be the first one, for them. He's already looking forward to it. ]

[startraveler]

[He takes a moment to think about, before grabbing the plate and putting it away. A shy smile is on his face.]

Why wait? Let's do it now.

[He really wants to.]

Just a warning that I may not be good at dancing.

[unchainer]

That's alright, just follow my lead.

[ He rises to his feet and holds out his hand towards Aether, and when they're situated on the dance floor, he directs Aether to keep one hand in his, and place the other on his shoulder. His own free hand goes to his husband's waist. He's only familiar with ballroom dancing, but he's a little closer than what's usually proper. He doesn't care, though. ]

Ready?

[startraveler]

[He follows Vanitas easily, allowing the other to set him into the correct position. They are close, yes, and normally it could've been a little awkward to do in front of people... but this is their wedding! They are allowed to do whatever they like!]

All ready!

[unchainer]

[ It is their wedding, indeed. Vanitas is used to dancing in front of others, but he'd be more nervous with Aether if it wasn't their event. He takes a few steps and gently urges Aether to move with him, and slowly, he leads them in a little circle. All the while, he can't stop smiling. ]

It really isn't so bad, once you get started. I won't be fussed if you step on my toes, either.

[ Aether is the one person who's allowed to do that!! ]

[At least Otegine is just as towering as usual and easily spotted by the food, expression lighting up when he sees Aether approaching.]

Aether! There you are! [Uhhhh quick where's an empty table he can put his food down on.]

Hey, congratulations. It's good to see you've found someone to settle your heart with.

Otegine! You're here!

[Aether waves to him with a big smile.]

Thank you! I... [He looks a bit sheepish.] I have to admit this was a little unexpected. But I'm very happy for it.
