a rainy day - 10th
[ Today is supposed to be nice and sunny, and it is on most places throughout the island. Everywhere except the area immediately above Lucia, apparently. Wherever she walks, rain clouds follow up above, and there's a light drizzle that sprinkles down towards her. She doesn't have an umbrella. She just seems to be zoned out, walking to her destination: The library.
She's also trying to look at who's in the area, so as to not get them caught up in the drizzling. She'll make an attempt to swerve out of the way of anyone who's passing by, which looks rather odd. Hm. ]
a teenager - 11th
[ There's a girl, somewhere between 15 and 16 years old, with long red hair roaming around. There are two people who currently fit this description, but the glasses give her away – this is not Diluc, this is Lucia. She's currently sitting under a tree in the shade, somewhere near town, pressing buttons on her phone. There's a disgruntled look on her face. Seems like she can't get something to work.
She ends up looking pretty huffy before she shoves her phone back into her pocket. Then, she rises to her feet and starts speed walking towards the shops. Where is she going...? ]
farming - throughout the month
[ Anyone who's passing by the Lucia-Gentaro forest farm may catch her outside at any given point during the day. She's getting to work on her farm, and there appears to be a small assortment of mushrooms growing! How nice. There's also a small patch of flowers that are also in the process of growing. Seems like things are going decently.
There's also a little calico cat that's roaming around outside, circling around Lucia at times. The cat will let out a little "meow" if she spots a visitor, and trot up to the newcomer. This will alert Lucia, and she'll turn to whoever's at her farm and stand up rather quickly. ]
Hello... Do you need something?

But he lets out a quiet laugh. ]
That's very kind of you to say. I feel the same way. [ He pours her a cup of tea, then one for himself. He holds up his cup. ] To getting to know each other, then.
no subject
Yes, to getting to know each other.
[ She takes a sip of her tea, then: ]
You're from planet earth, also?
no subject
Yes, I am. Tokyo, Japan, to be precise. And you?
no subject
[ She hopes he knows where that is, but if not, she'll explain. ]
I've never been to Japan before. What's Tokyo like?
no subject
I see. I've never been to America before, either. As for Tokyo... It depends on where you go.
My home is Shibuya, but I tend to travel to other wards for writing inspiration. Shibuya itself is incredibly lively; it's one of Japan's fashion centers, and there's quite the nightlife there. You'll see many younger people around, particularly when it comes to shopping.
[ a pause. ]
I prefer the cafes and quieter, lesser-known places, but I do enjoy people-watching. Each one has a story, after all. It's exciting to guess what they are.
no subject
[ She's both interested and not interested in going, based off of his description. She wants to explore and shop, but busy places aren't quite her thing. And he seems to share that sentiment. ]
Yes, the quieter places are more my speed, I think. Do you just come up with stories for each person you see?
no subject
[ "Prefer," he says, but that's not entirely true. It's just... easier. ]
I do, for the most part. It can serve as fascinating inspiration.
[ He smiles gently. ]
What do you enjoy doing, Lucia? Any hobbies?
no subject
[ She does not have that kind of energy and is idly wondering where he gets his from. Anyway, to answer his question: ]
Yeah, I... I'm really into games. I played a lot of board games as a child, and picked up video games along the way.
[ She looks a little sheepish, saying this. ]
I'm trying to major in game design right now, actually.
no subject
[ Oh, that's interesting, and Gentaro doesn't bother hiding it. If anything, he leans forward slightly. ]
That's very impressive. It's been a while since I played any games, aside from a couple of trips to the arcade. Should the opportunity present itself, would you like to play a game with me? Board or video--I'm not fussed about which.
no subject
Oh-! Yes, of course!
[ She looks like she's glowing with excitement now, which she's trying to tamp down, but she can't quite wipe the smile off of her face. ]
I would like that a lot, actually. I've been wanting to play something for a while, now.
no subject
Then we shall make it our mission. Perhaps we could even create our own, if need be.
no subject
[ Hm. She almost doesn't continue, but since she's started, she may as well finish it off. He deserves to know what he's getting into, being her housemate and all. ]
I'm not that good at it.
no subject
Then, all the more reason to work together, if you're willing.
no subject
What would you be able to do, then?
no subject
[ a pause. ]
Even if it may take some time, I certainly don't subscribe to the notion that things can be created only by those who are good or knowledgeable of said thing. Fresh eyes and perspectives can produce the most incredible results.

[ She wasn't expecting him to be so serious about this, but what he says actually touches her heart. He wants to do a project with her? He believes in her potential... Please, tell her more. She can live off of these sorts of praises for the rest of her life and never be tired of it. ]
Thank you. I'm really flattered, Gentaro. Please, let me assist with the story.
[ She doesn't want him thinking she's totally useless. Even though he literally just implied she isn't? Wow. ]
no subject
Of course. I'm more than happy to collaborate with you. After all, you have ideas and stories I couldn't think of.
[ It's as easy as that for him, because it isn't truly their creation if he's the only one writing the story. ]
no subject
That's good to hear, then. I'll do my best.
[ She has a fonder smile on her face, now, and seems to be easing into the impromptu picnic not-date they're having. ]
Other than that, do you have any plans for the rest of your stay here? ... What do you think of it so far, anyway?
no subject
[ He's more relaxed, too, even as he lapses into a thoughtful silence. ]
Hmm... Not especially. I suppose I'll simply adjust to a way of life that suits me. [ a pause. ] It's quite different than my home. That's not a bad thing, of course. It's much quieter, and I will admit that I've missed being outside of a large, bustling city.
And you?
no subject
[ Can't relate, but he's valid. ]
It's...better than home, for me. Other than the marriage and kidnapping parts of this, I...prefer it here.
