a rainy day - 10th

[ Today is supposed to be nice and sunny, and it is on most places throughout the island. Everywhere except the area immediately above Lucia, apparently. Wherever she walks, rain clouds follow up above, and there's a light drizzle that sprinkles down towards her. She doesn't have an umbrella. She just seems to be zoned out, walking to her destination: The library.

She's also trying to look at who's in the area, so as to not get them caught up in the drizzling. She'll make an attempt to swerve out of the way of anyone who's passing by, which looks rather odd. Hm. ]

a teenager - 11th

[ There's a girl, somewhere between 15 and 16 years old, with long red hair roaming around. There are two people who currently fit this description, but the glasses give her away – this is not Diluc, this is Lucia. She's currently sitting under a tree in the shade, somewhere near town, pressing buttons on her phone. There's a disgruntled look on her face. Seems like she can't get something to work.

She ends up looking pretty huffy before she shoves her phone back into her pocket. Then, she rises to her feet and starts speed walking towards the shops. Where is she going...? ]

farming - throughout the month

[ Anyone who's passing by the Lucia-Gentaro forest farm may catch her outside at any given point during the day. She's getting to work on her farm, and there appears to be a small assortment of mushrooms growing! How nice. There's also a small patch of flowers that are also in the process of growing. Seems like things are going decently.

There's also a little calico cat that's roaming around outside, circling around Lucia at times. The cat will let out a little "meow" if she spots a visitor, and trot up to the newcomer. This will alert Lucia, and she'll turn to whoever's at her farm and stand up rather quickly. ]

[ He sighs. ]

Good luck with the rest. Ah, maybe we should have planned to eat crackers and cheese today.

[ She pauses for a moment, takes in his serious expression. Considers something.

Then, she nervously leans in to plant a gentle kiss on his cheek. ]

[ Ah... His cheeks turn a very light pink. ]

...Thanks. I put a lot of effort into stuff like this, so knowing you appreciate it... it means a lot.

Yes, of course. Honestly...sharing your food with me is one of the nicest things anyone's done for me.

[ She means that. It makes her pretty happy. ]

And it was really good. I can't complain.

[ Oh... that's really sweet, even though it makes her a bit sad at the same time. ]

My grandfather showed me how to cook. It's too bad you can't go to his restaurant.

It would be nice if I could.

[ A beat, then: ]

But admittedly...I'm afraid to travel, and I don't even think we're from the same "earth", anyway.

[ It wouldn't surprise him much, given that it seems like he's not from the same world as Goro either, despite them both being from Japan. ]

Why are you afraid of traveling?

Because...your world doesn't have magic.

The powers from the gods are sort of designed for helping the planet sustain itself. Of course, people use them for...other purposes, but not everyone was granted the ability to obtain them.

That sucks. It's like they've built in a system of who's useful and who isn't.

[ And with what he knows about Lucia, he has a feeling that she might be deemed a nobody. ]

It's not your fault if you don't get powers.

It's not. It's a shame, though. Some who don't are called curses upon their families. Funny, isn't it?

[ She tries to keep her voice level when she says it, but it comes out a bit bitter instead. She shoves the last of her soba into her mouth to get herself to stop talking, and after she swallows, she looks back at Gaku. ]

Anyway, yes, I'm certain we're not from the same world, now.

[ Ah... he can hear that bitterness in her voice and it feels like a lot of things about Lucia make sense. ]

No, we're not. Sorry you have to deal with that.

Don't worry about me. I'm honestly really happy here.

[ She gives him a smile. Sure, she's upset about her home, but she means it - she's enjoying it here. ]

I got to meet a lot of great people. It's been a great experience.

Would you stay here? If you were given the choice.

[ She says she's happy, and he can tell she's bitter about the way things are back home.

Has she thought about this being the best place for her? ]

...Perhaps, but... If I were to find someone and they wanted to go back home...

[ She gets sheepish. ]

If they wanted me to follow them, I would.

[ Honestly, he gets it. ]

I can't blame you for that. I bet there are others here who'd do the same. Just give that kind of decision a lot of thought.

Of course. Relationships aren't something to take lightly.

You'd like to return home, right?

It's not an option. I have to return home no matter what.

[ Sure, he's not saving the world or anything, but he still has business to return to. ]

I hope that whoever your partner ends up being understands that.

They'll have to be. It's not something I'm going to budge on.
