mid-month event

With Crescentview’s newest citizens settling nicely, the Goddess has summoned everyone back to Town Square for another round of announcements. This time, her summons comes to you in the form of a hand-written note. If you happen to be out working in your field, one of her fairies will hand it directly to you, looking a little more sprightly than they did the first time you saw them. Otherwise, expect to find her request/demand to meet up in Town Square in your mailbox.

introducing: the memo board

The Memo Board is now available in Town Square. You may post messages here to your fellow neighbors, send out requests for assistance on the farm, or even solicit local singles for hot dates! Post whatever you like whenever you like. You can even post messages to the board anonymously if you so desire. The Memo Board is available here.

But wait, there’s more! The Goddess has given everyone a fun relationship-building exercise. How well do you know your neighbors? Can you identify them based on their writing alone?

By December 22nd - 12:00pm EST, please have your character submit an anonymous message to be posted to the Memo Board. Their message can be about anything they’d like and there is no length requirement or restrictions. After submissions have been received, characters will be given an opportunity to review everyone’s messages and guess which character wrote which memo. Answers will be revealed on December 29th - 12:00pm EST. A single correct guess will earn you a horse while each additional correct guess will net you a vegetable, flower, or mushroom spore seed bag of your choice. Good luck and have fun!

it's time to dance!

Every Spring 15th, the annual Flower Dance is held in Town Square. Villagers gather to dance with one another and celebrate the upcoming harvest and offer their prayers to the Goddess. Folks are encouraged to dance not just with those they fancy, but their fellow neighbors as a way to express gratitude and appreciation for the friendship and company they provide.

ICly, the dance takes place on Spring 15th and goes from 9am to 9pm.

In addition to the tasks currently available on the Task Board, a handful of new additions have been added. You may continue to work on tasks from the previous event in addition to these new tasks, but please note that tasks may only be completed within the month they are assigned. Summer starts next month, so please have all of your tasks completed and submitted by then!

The new additions are as follows:

1. Post a notice on the Memo Board. Stick up an anonymous memo and earn a single chicken or rabbit to add to your coop. You may post as many notices as you like, but you will only redeem the reward once.

2. Correctly guess who posted a memo. Discuss these anonymous notes with one another and guess who may be the author. Between December 22nd and December 29th, submit your IC votes (link coming on the 22nd) and if you guess correctly, even just once, you will get a horse! You may guess as many times as you like, but you may only redeem this reward once.

3. Partake in the Flower Dance. Pick a partner for a round of dancing, pray to the Goddess, or just celebrate the good times! For every person that you celebrate the event with, you will receive a random bag of seeds of fruits, vegetables, flowers, or mushroom spores. This task can be completed 5 times.

4. Send a letter to your neighbor. This requires you to have acquired the stationary set from the first event, so if you haven't claimed it yet, get to it! You can post letters directly on the main community or set up an inbox in your journal to send and receive hand-written letters. For each letter that you send, you will get a random gacha item. This task can be completed 3 times.

5. Harvest your crops. On the 14th, you'd be surprised to find that all of your crops are now ready for picking - even if you've only planted them the day before. The crops look bright, flavourful, and ready to be picked, so eat them, trade them, sell them, whatever! For every interaction that you have involving the bountiful harvest, you will receive a new set of clothes. This task can be completed 3 times.

[ Should he say it's erotic to get Adelis's mind to something else other than disgust? Ellis supposes that could lead into more disgust, so he'll shelf that idea for now and try to grab Adelis's hand to get it closer to his mouth. Eat it!!! ]

[ please. a man can only take so much. adelis, cautious person that he is, promptly recoils as ellis reaches for him. unfortunately, he is a tense and trained man, which means he snatches that arm as it comes close with one sharp movement. ]

What in Solyma's name are you doing? [ he won't!!! you ruined it!! ] Keep it up and I'll just throw it out!

[ ...which is a complete, utter lie, because he would never dream of wasting food. ]

[ Ellis huffs and lets go. If Adelis won't eat it, he will unlock the other route, which is Ellis getting a madeleine and trying to shove that into Adelis's mouth. ]

[ what is this tall motherfuckers problem??? his other hand is full, and he doesn't quite want to drop it on the floor and waste it- a moment of hesitation that costs him, as adelis promptly has a tiny cake forced right into his mouth.

needless to say, he makes a surprised choking noise, before he releases ellis' wrist to slap a hand over his mouth so he doesn't accidentally spit it out. if looks could kill right now... ]

[ Ellis still has no idea what's going on with Adelis, and thinks this is just a normal reaction to getting pranked on. Any and all glares seem to bounce off Ellis because he's having a lot of fun right now. Does Adelis regret not eating the food at first now?

Ellis gets an unused fork and stabs a strawberry, holding it out to Adelis. Is this better? ]

[ he most certainly does not. when he swallows, it's with obvious distaste- it's good, certainly, but the experience is soured by random goblins shoving their hands in his mouth.

and yet, ellis is still trying it. he might have to look up at the taller man, but it won't stop adelis from attempting to light him on fire with his eyes before he up and snatches the fruit straight off the fork. no feeding miette. ]

If you attempt to shove anything in my mouth again, I'm going to throw you head-first into the bloody pond.

[ To that, Ellis only stabs an orange slice and holds it out to Adelis.

Will he ever learn? Yeah, but not now. ]

[ hello? you know what. adelis merely pops the strawberry in his mouth with a mildly sour look, giving ellis a few moments of unacknowledged silence.

...right before he reaches out and snatches the fork, promptly shoving the orange right into the taller man's mouth with probably way more force than necessary. choke on your own medicine and perish. ]

[ Luckily, Ellis bit down on the fork before it goes in the back too far and pulls out the orange, grinning. Thanks for the food, Adelis. He opens his mouth. Feed him some more? ]

[ must he receive no satisfaction whatsoever. even legba wasn't this mind-numbingly irritating all the time.

instead, adelis scowls and just lets go of the fork, leaving it there. ]

[ Ellis tilts his head and writes on his notebook to show Adelis. ]

[ the guttural noise he makes in the back of his throat is not kind at all. ]
