mid-month event

With Crescentview’s newest citizens settling nicely, the Goddess has summoned everyone back to Town Square for another round of announcements. This time, her summons comes to you in the form of a hand-written note. If you happen to be out working in your field, one of her fairies will hand it directly to you, looking a little more sprightly than they did the first time you saw them. Otherwise, expect to find her request/demand to meet up in Town Square in your mailbox.

introducing: the memo board

The Memo Board is now available in Town Square. You may post messages here to your fellow neighbors, send out requests for assistance on the farm, or even solicit local singles for hot dates! Post whatever you like whenever you like. You can even post messages to the board anonymously if you so desire. The Memo Board is available here.

But wait, there’s more! The Goddess has given everyone a fun relationship-building exercise. How well do you know your neighbors? Can you identify them based on their writing alone?

By December 22nd - 12:00pm EST, please have your character submit an anonymous message to be posted to the Memo Board. Their message can be about anything they’d like and there is no length requirement or restrictions. After submissions have been received, characters will be given an opportunity to review everyone’s messages and guess which character wrote which memo. Answers will be revealed on December 29th - 12:00pm EST. A single correct guess will earn you a horse while each additional correct guess will net you a vegetable, flower, or mushroom spore seed bag of your choice. Good luck and have fun!

it's time to dance!

Every Spring 15th, the annual Flower Dance is held in Town Square. Villagers gather to dance with one another and celebrate the upcoming harvest and offer their prayers to the Goddess. Folks are encouraged to dance not just with those they fancy, but their fellow neighbors as a way to express gratitude and appreciation for the friendship and company they provide.

ICly, the dance takes place on Spring 15th and goes from 9am to 9pm.

In addition to the tasks currently available on the Task Board, a handful of new additions have been added. You may continue to work on tasks from the previous event in addition to these new tasks, but please note that tasks may only be completed within the month they are assigned. Summer starts next month, so please have all of your tasks completed and submitted by then!

The new additions are as follows:

1. Post a notice on the Memo Board. Stick up an anonymous memo and earn a single chicken or rabbit to add to your coop. You may post as many notices as you like, but you will only redeem the reward once.

2. Correctly guess who posted a memo. Discuss these anonymous notes with one another and guess who may be the author. Between December 22nd and December 29th, submit your IC votes (link coming on the 22nd) and if you guess correctly, even just once, you will get a horse! You may guess as many times as you like, but you may only redeem this reward once.

3. Partake in the Flower Dance. Pick a partner for a round of dancing, pray to the Goddess, or just celebrate the good times! For every person that you celebrate the event with, you will receive a random bag of seeds of fruits, vegetables, flowers, or mushroom spores. This task can be completed 5 times.

4. Send a letter to your neighbor. This requires you to have acquired the stationary set from the first event, so if you haven't claimed it yet, get to it! You can post letters directly on the main community or set up an inbox in your journal to send and receive hand-written letters. For each letter that you send, you will get a random gacha item. This task can be completed 3 times.

5. Harvest your crops. On the 14th, you'd be surprised to find that all of your crops are now ready for picking - even if you've only planted them the day before. The crops look bright, flavourful, and ready to be picked, so eat them, trade them, sell them, whatever! For every interaction that you have involving the bountiful harvest, you will receive a new set of clothes. This task can be completed 3 times.

[ She's a latecomer, so she didn't really have the chance to dance with these strangers. However, what she does have the chance for, is hearing a certain rumor about Gaku among the NPCs. ]

Are you Gaku Yaotome? I need to do a quick bingo square or whatever the fuck this is and then we need to have a talk about public decency.

[ Is she getting out a bingo card? No. She gets out a small yogurt in a plastic container that includes a small plastic spoon. After opening it, she scoops it up, and immediately tries to feed Gaku. Eat it. ]

[ Ah, feeding someone. He's seen that on other cards, so he doesn't protest as he leans forward to have a bite. Mm, yogurt. ]

Did that do it?

[ She raises an eyebrow as she shoves the yogurt into Gaku's hand. She doesn't want it anymore. Thanks. The bingo shows that she has "spoonfeeding" done so she puts it back away after taking a peek at it. ]

Yeah.

[ Anyway. ]

Can you stop trying to seduce everyone out in public? Thanks.

[ An exasperated look crosses over his face. It's not like he hasn't thought about it, but the only person he's even come close to making an attempt with has literally run away and he's expressly not thinking about all of that right now. ]

Seducing? Who the hell am I seducing?

All the women and men out in the open? At least take the boys and leave the girls for me.

[ She doesn't want to stay here... she wants to leave ASAP. Danielle also shoots him a look that if he flirts with her, shes going to drive the stiletto of her boots through his foot. ]

[ That look has him taking a step back... girl... ]

I haven't seduced a single person.

[ Here, or back home. ]

You're outnumbered. Hundred or something against one. Don't try to lie even more or I'm taking you out of the competition.

[ No bluff. ]

[ He whips out his bingo card. Look!!! There's a very noticeable empty space!! ]

[ She raises an eyebrow. Gaku could literally have sex and not do biting to not get it filled. This isn't conclusive evidence for her. ]

The townspeople have been saying it, and for some reason, I'm more inclined to believe them than you.

[ He sighs, looking defeated as he puts his bingo card up. ]

I need to get to know someone before I even kiss them. There's no way I'm seducing everyone around me.

[ She still looks unconvinced, but... you know what. Fine. She crosses her arms for a second, before grabbing the arm of whoever is passing by (sorry). ]

[He is NOT expecting to be grabbed at random, and it takes him a moment to catch up to the conversation.

He smiles, looking straight at Gaku.]

No, I don't think so. I've certainly never seen this man seduce someone, even though he's rather handsome. It's a pity - but I think you have nothing to worry about. He's either uninterested or incapable.

[He doesn't even know why she's asking? But it's fine. He's sure whether it's worry that Gaku will hit on her or that he's somehow competition in her own seduction efforts his answer is still right. He's only talked to Gaku a few times, but. Look at him.
