[ Yuri asks, questions ultimately rhetorical. After all, he certainly knows that the blond-haired male in front of him for would not easily concede to anything. That is something they share in common.

Hah, this time though, he is ready for Flynn's retaliation! The pillow launched at him is smoothly countered by the one in his hands, and—

...Okay, well, he's also not anticipating to be grabbed, being probably pulled forward, towards Flynn. He'll probably land on top unless Flynn goes to roll them over?? ]

Wow, what were you even trying to accomplish here? Declare me the victory of our little fight?

Then I'd say that's unexpectedly cute of you.

[ Flynn doesn't care in the least that the question was rhetorical, and he also doesn't believe it for a second. Although that doesn't change the fact that Yuri is unexpectedly cute like this. Softer, in some ways, than the hellion Flynn remembers from when they were younger.

(He pointedly does not recall anything about himself from that age.)

Yuri might have landed on top of him, but Flynn's pretty sure that's not an automatic victory or anything. In fact, he has Yuri right where he wants him... He reaches back and grabs another pillow to gently thwap his head with when Yuri can't possibly dodge. ]

Well? Still feeling like the victor now?

Cute?

[ Unexpectedly cute?! Flynn...careful, you're liable to make him swoon into your knightly arms at this rate, kyaa.

Jokes aside, it's certainly true that Yuri's gotten more softer. He remembers the days when he was rougher and sharper around the edges. Ultimately softened by the test of time, wisdom, adventures, and the bonds he has forged while on them. Perhaps that's why he receives Flynn's term of endearment with a snort, but it sticks in his mind. ]

I'll have you know I can't be both badass and cute.

[ It's a half-hearted protest, but one nonetheless. If it is a distraction tactic, it also works rather well, given the sneak attack via pillow that makes contact with his head from behind. ]

Wha- hey! Feeling like playing dirty now?

[ He's going to swing down his own pillow that he's still holding in retaliation. Don't think he'll let you off easy, Flynn! ]

[ Everything Flynn feels is in this pillow...!

Or not, because his weapon falls from his hand when Yuri thwaps him in return. He laughs again, scrunching his face up as he completely fails to ward against that counterattack. Yuri is rude. ]

I don't think you get to make those accusations after you ambushed me.

[ Yuri can absolutely be both badass and cute. He's doing it right now, actually — well, maybe a little light on the "badass" part. With Yuri on top like this, his hair falls forward to tickle Flynn's cheek, and Flynn reaches up without thinking to tuck it back behind Yuri's ear. ]

Are you really going to be satisfied with a cheap victory? Or are you going to re-arm me?

[ ...And what the hell? Flynn's the one saying he's the cute one here, when his face is scrunched up, the perfect image of adorable encapsulated in one single moment? He has practically found hard evidence to trounce the other blond's argument.

(It is true that Yuri can be both badass and cute, though.) ]

[ Like, he is innocent of all ambushing crimes? How dare?

Anyway, his expression softens without his permission, especially with the way the other male moves those fingers to tuck strands of hair behind his own hand. He sees nothing weird about this in the slightest. ]

I dunno. I might be feeling like playing dirty myself. How about you try to wrestle my weapon away from my hands?

[ Giving him a wink, and playfully holding up his pillow, looking amused, but also rather content in their current position. ]

[ Since ever, Yuri? Flynn gives him the sardonic "I know you too well for that" stare, the effectiveness of which might be just a little in question with their faces this close together. Or considering the fact that he still hasn't stopped smiling. ]

Why am I not surprised? Then, have it your way—

[ Like Flynn has it in him to turn down a challenge. He hooks his leg around Yuri's and tries to flip them as he reaches for the pillow. He's absolutely willing to make this a wrestling match if Yuri insists.

Even if he, unfortunately, isn't immune to Yuri winking at him. Contentment has always looked good on Yuri. ]

[ The fact Flynn hasn't stopped smiling is easily noticeable, yep.

Nevermind how close their faces are (or were?), in the first place. The small distance between them that should have caused a sort of...well, surprise on his own end, but— ]

That's how I prefer it.

[ So, the thing about Flynn's surprise attack is that he does get something out of it. That 'something' being the fact both of them are flipped in positions.

But, Yuri stubbornly holds onto his pillow, managing to pull it away out of the reach from the grab, whacking at him with it, a short laugh escaping him. He's going to be as much as a menace as possible, it seems. ]

[ Well, Yuri has to put that pillow within reach to bean him with it. On the flipside, it's a little hard to grab for it when he's being thwacked.

Flynn takes the only protective measure he can and ducks his head down against Yuri's shoulder, his breath gusting warm against the side of Yuri's neck as he laughs. Now he's just grabbing blindly for the pillow, but with his full weight on Yuri, it's not like either of them are going anywhere until he gets his hands on it. ]

You never know when to quit. You're going to knock that basket off the bed—

[ And they haven't even gotten to see what was in it before Yuri chose chaos! Honestly. (affectionate) ]

[ ... Oh.

Well then. You know, they've messed around with each other a lot in the past. But in this one moment, he realizes that there's something different about it.

Yuri is, unfortunately, incredibly stupid when it comes to this sort of thing. As in, the general idea of romance, or being close to others in that way. Yet, his mind stupidly flashes back to when he got irritated at the idea of Flynn dating someone else.

And now, the feel of the breath against his neck. Of which gets a strange, nice sensation; kind of ticklish, but also makes his face hot for some reason. Huh. ]

...Basket? What basket?

[ His mind finally comes down to earth, especially when he realizes he's slide one free arm around the other's waist, and then his mind starts to catch up with him like whoops, he's already moving it away, dropping the pillow to peer at the fallen contents (because of course he did manage to knock it aside at some point. Or was it the flying pillow from earlier?? Who knows...)

...One of which has already broken on the floor, probably? ]

[ Flynn's breath catches very softly on what he won't allow to escape as a sigh of disappointment. Yuri's arm had only been around his waist for a moment, gone again nearly before he's had a chance to appreciate it. And it was... nice. He's never had much occasion to think about things like this before — not with his duties demanding his full attention. But it's impossible not to think about it now. He pushes himself up a little on one arm and studies Yuri's face closely.

Was it just a coincidence on Yuri's part? Probably. He couldn't say Yuri's ever shown the least interest in romance, or changing the direction of their friendship, in the time they've known each other. Flynn finally gives a soft laugh and rolls away again so they can both sit up properly. He stretches over to retrieve the basket. ]

This one. Look, they put chocolate in it. They really must have been expecting you.

[ The real mystery is whether the note survived their little tussle. ]

[ Careful you don't get lost in his eyes by studying his face, Flynn.

Meanwhile, being the smooth kind of person that he is, Yuri doesn't so much as mention anything about his little slip up there.

It's okay, he's cool, he's got this. Once Flynn's rolled away, Yuri's moved into a better position, watching as the other goes to grab a hold of the basket. ]

Yeah, they probably were. Well, no point in trying some, right?

[ He'll pick up one of the little chocolates, opening the package and just begin to snack on it. As for the little note, that's probably ~unfortunately~ slipped right under the bed or something. Oopsie! ]

When have you ever passed up sweets?

[ Flynn's not as partial to them as Yuri is. But it does seem like a waste not to try the truffles, and he's not passing up the convenient distraction. He pops one in his mouth and starts looking through the rest of the basket, holding up a vial of the glowing pink liquid and swishing it a little. ]

It looks a little like a life bottle, don't you think?

[ ...He's not going to assume they should drink this, however. Especially with the massage cream in the basket, which he judges to not be a helpful way to redirect his thoughts. ]

I'm going to have to think about that for a second.

[ Once upon a time, in a land far, far away...that time does not exist.

Anyway, look at these two, having the time of their life here. They're simply being ridiculous, though. But, the chocolate was kind of good. No regrets (at the moment.) ]

It kind of does, yeah. But, it's probably a type of oil or something?

[ Sure, eating some chocolates in a high-class room is fine, but drinking weird drinks is a step too far apparently. Well, they could always take a whiff of it or something if they really were curious but he'd still not venture tossing the entire thing down his throat. ]

[ It wasn't bad at all! Flynn is glancing over to see if all the truffles are the same type. You never know, he could find a chili pepper flavored one in here. ]

Probably. More things for massages, I suppose.

[ He'll open the bottle to sniff it curiously, pouring a little on his fingers to see what the texture is. Slippery, just like he expects the massage cream to be.

...Ah. Um. He's not, in fact, quite that naive. Especially given that the motivation of preparing a private suite for them was fairly obvious. He recaps the vial slowly and sets it back in the basket, leaning away like he expects it to bite. ]

[ Meanwhile, Yuri is sort of watching whatever Flynn is doing with the bottle; with him sniffing it, he doesn't really bother. He's sure that the other's got this. If it smells terrible, he simply won't go near it.

Though, there's a moment of silence for the blond's attempt at keeping some dignity, noticing the way he moves away with it, and no shortage of amusement at that. Then, he opens his mouth. ]

...Enjoying yourself over there?

[ Yuri. ]

[ Yuri! ]

[ Flynn Scifo has done nothing wrong.

And Yuri is definitely poking at him deliberately. Flynn reaches out to pick out another truffle blindly, debating between shoving it in Yuri's mouth and lobbing it at his face. His own dislike of mess wins out in the end -- or the suspicion that Yuri would just annoyingly catch it in his mouth if it were thrown at him does -- and Flynn grumpily eats the second one himself too. ]

[ ...Yuri would absolutely have caught the chocolate in his mouth so easily that Flynn would become jealous of such skill (no)

Anyway, he's going to have another too, because why not? The sweet tooth doesn't go away simply because he has only one little dessert! ]

[ No mercy. He absolutely deserves a chocolate being lobbed at his face by now, to be quite honest. ]

[ Yuri deserves it. And Flynn is nothing if not a proponent of justice. He narrows his eyes at Yuri and reaches out to pick up another truffle before throwing it with unerring aim at his face.

He does everything well, thank you. It's a very nice arc. One of the glowing vials (not for eating, Yuri don't) follows shortly after, though its arc is lower and more aimed for Yuri's hands. ]

If you're curious, why don't you have a look?

[ Yuri's going to be catching it right in his mouth. Bulls-eye!

He catches the glowing vial in his hands with ease as well. After properly eating the chocolate, he has some choice words. ]

Well, I don't mind looking. Though, now I'm wondering your intention behind asking.

[ If Flynn tosses something at him again, he deserves it. But he can't help the teasing. In fact, he'll make a show of taking the cap off... ]

[ Wow, nevermind. This was worse than just answering him. Flynn flops back against the pillows and weighs the merits of throwing one of those, too.

Not while Yuri has the vial open maybe. ]

[ Wait, maybe he shouldn't have worded it like that. Flynn doesn't want to see alcohol again after NHIE, but he wishes for a single moment that the truffles were wine instead as he reaches for another. For himself? For Yuri? It depends what the next thing out of Yuri's mouth is. ]

[ Imagine getting that stuff all over themselves.

[ ...Yeah, these are the next words that are flying right out of his mouth. If it is just simple teasing, Yuri's fairly good at that. Though, he looks too proud of himself here because he is Just Like This. ]

[ Well, that settles it. This truffle is getting lobbed in Yuri's direction too. Yuri can demonstrate his amazing catching talents again. ]

You really would put just anything in your mouth? I don't think it's for drinking.

[ ...Yet again, he probably shouldn't have worded it like that. Flynn blinks a little at the heat creeping up his face and rolls onto his stomach instead. Actually, it's not just his face feeling a little heated right now. Maybe that's why his words keep coming out, well. Not quite how he intends. ]

[ Yuri catches it straight in his mouth! A 10/10. Are you proud of his skills, Flynn? How close is he watching when he finishes off the chocolate, licking his lips a little at the remains as he does so? Guess it depends if he caught it before rolling over like that.

But here is Yuri himself, thinking over and over about what Flynn's saying. And with the heat going straight to his face, and other places as well, he isn't thinking logically. ]

[ Damn, it really is getting hot in here, isn't it...he can mention it. But stubbornly he will see if Flynn does first. Not that he won't make a comment about it if the other doesn't soon enough. ]

[ Flynn isn't proud of him at all. Unfortunately, though, he is still watching to make sure Yuri succeeds. Which means he definitely sees Yuri savoring the traces of chocolate on his lips and--

well. Now Flynn is definitely trying to smother his face in a pillow for a moment. The heat that rushes through him at that sight is just a little dizzying. It's not helping that he can't stop thinking that he could so easily lean in and lick the last traces of it away for him. ]

Why are you surprised? I'm not some statue, Yuri. You know that more than anyone.

[ Flynn gives a little huff as he finally pushes himself up again on one arm to look over at his best friend, expression more thoughtful than annoyed. Something about the whole day has left him in a contemplative sort of mood. The quiet time to just enjoy Yuri's company? Wondering why Yuri had put in that bid on him after all? Maybe some of both. ]

[ Yuri is unable to hide a little laugh when he notices Flynn hiding his own face in a pillow?

I dunno. I was having some doubts recently about that.

[ He's obviously joking. He knows Flynn isn't exactly completely and totally pure. He's seen Flynn at his worst and his best; he's as human as anyone else.

Anyway, he sees the blond looking at him like that, a little thoughtful. He's trying not to think too hard about his own feelings here, because it's just typical him fashion, but he does eventually begin to consider some things from the auction. What things might mean, when he got a little irritated by Mishka at that time...and still couldn't fully acknowledge it. ]

But, a guy's got to wonder. Surely I'm not the only one suffering from whatever's in those chocolates here, yeah?
