a rainy day - 10th

[ Today is supposed to be nice and sunny, and it is on most places throughout the island. Everywhere except the area immediately above Lucia, apparently. Wherever she walks, rain clouds follow up above, and there's a light drizzle that sprinkles down towards her. She doesn't have an umbrella. She just seems to be zoned out, walking to her destination: The library.

She's also trying to look at who's in the area, so as to not get them caught up in the drizzling. She'll make an attempt to swerve out of the way of anyone who's passing by, which looks rather odd. Hm. ]

a teenager - 11th

[ There's a girl, somewhere between 15 and 16 years old, with long red hair roaming around. There are two people who currently fit this description, but the glasses give her away – this is not Diluc, this is Lucia. She's currently sitting under a tree in the shade, somewhere near town, pressing buttons on her phone. There's a disgruntled look on her face. Seems like she can't get something to work.

She ends up looking pretty huffy before she shoves her phone back into her pocket. Then, she rises to her feet and starts speed walking towards the shops. Where is she going...? ]

farming - throughout the month

[ Anyone who's passing by the Lucia-Gentaro forest farm may catch her outside at any given point during the day. She's getting to work on her farm, and there appears to be a small assortment of mushrooms growing! How nice. There's also a small patch of flowers that are also in the process of growing. Seems like things are going decently.

There's also a little calico cat that's roaming around outside, circling around Lucia at times. The cat will let out a little "meow" if she spots a visitor, and trot up to the newcomer. This will alert Lucia, and she'll turn to whoever's at her farm and stand up rather quickly. ]

[ He nods and drapes a blanket over his arm, then gestures to the basket. ]

Would you like me to carry that? I won't object either way.

[ He's not so presumptive to think she needs him to carry it, anyway. ]

[ She'll hold onto it securely to prove a point. She'll do this much, since he's the one who asked her to clear the square. ]

[ He gives her a smile, one that's touched lightly with teasing. He leads her out and to a quiet, tucked-away place not too far from their place. ]

[ Oh, nice. It's not a far walk, and it's quiet. She's definitely okay with this. ]

Yes, I think this is a nice spot.

[ She'll help Gentaro with the set up, if he'll let her! She wants to be helpful. More proving that she's a good housemate, etc. ]

[ He'll definitely let her! Once it's all set up, he takes a seat on the blanket. ]

I couldn't make too many of these since the grocery store isn't well-stocked on certain things, but I hope you enjoy them anyway...

[ He means it. Gentaro's not used to people doing things for him, aside from Dice and Ramuda. It makes him feel a bit off-balance, but that's not because of her. ]

You'll find I prefer simpler meals, so there's no need for elaborate, complicated food.

Oh. Oh, that's good, then. I'm glad.

[ We love a low maintenance housemate. She sets out the spinach wraps, one for each of them. ]

Well...since we should get to know each other, um...you can ask me whatever you want, I think.

[ He gives her a small smile, then nods. ]

If I venture into uncomfortable territory, please tell me. I certainly don't want to cause you any discomfort.

[ He sets out a container of cinnamon tea, as well as a couple teacups. As for food, there's rice and vegetables, as well as a simple sauce. ]

First, I'd like to ask how you're faring here. It can be overwhelming, can't it?

[ Well, she's not going to mention how she cried at least five times for different reasons, but she will be honest about everything else. ]

It...is, in a way. I actually prefer it here to where I'm originally from.

[ She'll leave it at that, for now. She's glad he's being considerate. ]

[ He nods, and Gentaro knows when it's time to move on from a subject. ]

Hmm... I won't deny that I'm slightly inconvenienced by my being here. [ .... ] But I can't say it's unpleasant. Different, certainly, but I have always enjoyed traveling to new places.

Ah...were you pulled here at a bad time?

[ Seems like several others were in that predicament, too. ]

I think it'd be nicer if we weren't being forced to get married...

Not necessarily a bad time, but one that's somewhat of a... transitional period.

[ ... ]

I agree. I'd like to hear the goddess's explanation for such a requirement.

What...sort of transitional period was it for you?

[ How does he put this in terms that are just vague enough? It's not like it's anything that can be used against him, but... it's more the principle of the matter. ]

Hmm... my friends and I accomplished something very important. [ They're not wanted criminals anymore! ... For now. ] After clearing that hurdle, we turned our focus to two more. One is more important than the other, but... I would prefer to be there, of course, to facilitate its progress.

And to help with the other, more pressing goal.

[ If he doesn't focus on the fact that he can't do anything about Ramuda's condition while he's here, surely he won't feel that crushing guilt. ]

[ She won't bother with asking him for specifics, because she can sense that he's being vague for a reason. Honestly, she get it. She's doing the same thing. Funny, how that works. ]

I'm sorry to hear that, then. I hope you're able to leave soon. Somehow.

[ Ahh. Gentaro's composed on the surface, but there it is. That twinge of guilt, because the Gentaro people think they know... it isn't him.

But he lets out a quiet laugh. ]

That's very kind of you to say. I feel the same way. [ He pours her a cup of tea, then one for himself. He holds up his cup. ] To getting to know each other, then.

[ She holds up her cup, too. A toast? Well, she's fine with that. She clinks her cup against his lightly. ]

I've never been to Japan before. What's Tokyo like?

I see. I've never been to America before, either. As for Tokyo... It depends on where you go.

My home is Shibuya, but I tend to travel to other wards for writing inspiration. Shibuya itself is incredibly lively; it's one of Japan's fashion centers, and there's quite the nightlife there. You'll see many younger people around, particularly when it comes to shopping.

[ a pause. ]

I prefer the cafes and quieter, lesser-known places, but I do enjoy people-watching. Each one has a story, after all. It's exciting to guess what they are.

[ She's both interested and not interested in going, based off of his description. She wants to explore and shop, but busy places aren't quite her thing. And he seems to share that sentiment. ]

Yes, the quieter places are more my speed, I think. Do you just come up with stories for each person you see?
