mid-month event
With Crescentview’s newest citizens settling nicely, the Goddess has summoned everyone back to Town Square for another round of announcements. This time, her summons comes to you in the form of a hand-written note. If you happen to be out working in your field, one of her fairies will hand it directly to you, looking a little more sprightly than they did the first time you saw them. Otherwise, expect to find her request/demand to meet up in Town Square in your mailbox.
introducing: the memo board
The Memo Board is now available in Town Square. You may post messages here to your fellow neighbors, send out requests for assistance on the farm, or even solicit local singles for hot dates! Post whatever you like whenever you like. You can even post messages to the board anonymously if you so desire. The Memo Board is available here.
But wait, there’s more! The Goddess has given everyone a fun relationship-building exercise. How well do you know your neighbors? Can you identify them based on their writing alone?
By December 22nd - 12:00pm EST, please have your character submit an anonymous message to be posted to the Memo Board. Their message can be about anything they’d like and there is no length requirement or restrictions. After submissions have been received, characters will be given an opportunity to review everyone’s messages and guess which character wrote which memo. Answers will be revealed on December 29th - 12:00pm EST. A single correct guess will earn you a horse while each additional correct guess will net you a vegetable, flower, or mushroom spore seed bag of your choice. Good luck and have fun!
it's time to dance!
Every Spring 15th, the annual Flower Dance is held in Town Square. Villagers gather to dance with one another and celebrate the upcoming harvest and offer their prayers to the Goddess. Folks are encouraged to dance not just with those they fancy, but their fellow neighbors as a way to express gratitude and appreciation for the friendship and company they provide.
ICly, the dance takes place on Spring 15th and goes from 9am to 9pm.

In addition to the tasks currently available on the Task Board, a handful of new additions have been added. You may continue to work on tasks from the previous event in addition to these new tasks, but please note that tasks may only be completed within the month they are assigned. Summer starts next month, so please have all of your tasks completed and submitted by then!
The new additions are as follows:
1. Post a notice on the Memo Board. Stick up an anonymous memo and earn a single chicken or rabbit to add to your coop. You may post as many notices as you like, but you will only redeem the reward once.
2. Correctly guess who posted a memo. Discuss these anonymous notes with one another and guess who may be the author. Between December 22nd and December 29th, submit your IC votes (link coming on the 22nd) and if you guess correctly, even just once, you will get a horse! You may guess as many times as you like, but you may only redeem this reward once.
3. Partake in the Flower Dance. Pick a partner for a round of dancing, pray to the Goddess, or just celebrate the good times! For every person that you celebrate the event with, you will receive a random bag of seeds of fruits, vegetables, flowers, or mushroom spores. This task can be completed 5 times.
4. Send a letter to your neighbor. This requires you to have acquired the stationary set from the first event, so if you haven't claimed it yet, get to it! You can post letters directly on the main community or set up an inbox in your journal to send and receive hand-written letters. For each letter that you send, you will get a random gacha item. This task can be completed 3 times.
5. Harvest your crops. On the 14th, you'd be surprised to find that all of your crops are now ready for picking - even if you've only planted them the day before. The crops look bright, flavourful, and ready to be picked, so eat them, trade them, sell them, whatever! For every interaction that you have involving the bountiful harvest, you will receive a new set of clothes. This task can be completed 3 times.

This particular kitty is quite the contrast to Haru, with her soft gray fur and lively green eyes, as this cat has bright orange fur and very, very dead eyes. It's a little unsettling, but Gaku just assumes that some cats happen to look like that.
Figuring he may as well make sure this cat has food to eat, he crouches down and snaps at the cat. ]

Anyways, he's going to take a calculated risk and gently deposit his Vision in Gaku's hand, the same one Childe always has strapped to his hip.
Meow, meow. Look deeply into his soulless eyes and discover the truth. Barring that, please feed him something to eat. He's famished. ]

[ Childe is very lucky that Gaku has already seen someone else experience the same affliction, otherwise his normie mind would have never made the connection. ]

Childe miaous again, slightly less plaintive, and bumps his head up against Gaku's hand. The little triangles he has for kitty ears are flicking a little. Thanks for being the only person to acknowledge him in this state. Not much else to say in that regard, relenting to slink around Gaku's legs in swishy, swishy circles. ]

[ He's not mean enough to feed cat food to Childe, but he does scoop him up in his arms to hold him like a baby. ]

Anyways, he'll accept the infantilization with grace, his fluffy tail buzzing with so much delight that Childe may or may not have inadvertently smacked Gaku in the face with it. Sorry, he's just really excited about quenching his thirst. It's so hard to use his Vision when he doesn't even have opposable thumbs right now? Lead the way, good sir. ]

[ He laughs, giving Childe scritches under his chin as he heads back to his house. Once inside, he sets Childe down on the counter as he grabs a bowl and fills it with water.

It's very hard to convey what he wants with only his eyes and a couple verbal cues, but he sure is purring a whole bunch, soft in his throat. If Gaku could recognize him, there's a non-zero chance that he can undo this curse that's been placed upon him. Japanese idols may have powers he doesn't even know about. ]

Gaku doesn't really catch on at first, simply going up to Childe and petting him a few times. ]

[ The longer he purrs, however, the more Gaku thinks there's something else he wants. ]

Childe, a literal cat, just... takes a swipe underneath it and brings out the plastic baby into the open. It's weird, since he didn't really take Gaku to play with dolls like his little sister, but to each their own? Maybe he's rooming with a small child, for some inexplicable reason. Fetching it, he deposits it at Gaku's feet, and then meows again. He's helping already. ]

Gaku frowns, barely resisting the urge to crawl in a hole as he picks up the little plastic baby and throws it in the trash. ]
Those things exploded all over the house. They're so small I keep finding them in random places.

All of this fussing about does mean he eventually spots another plastic baby, though. And several more, actually, all cluttered beneath the couch. Allow him to do Gaku a solid and pile them up in the middle of the floor. Check it out! Maybe the kitty-cat paws thing isn't so bad. It's easy to smack them out into view when he's housepet-sized. ]
