a rainy day - 10th

[ Today is supposed to be nice and sunny, and it is on most places throughout the island. Everywhere except the area immediately above Lucia, apparently. Wherever she walks, rain clouds follow up above, and there's a light drizzle that sprinkles down towards her. She doesn't have an umbrella. She just seems to be zoned out, walking to her destination: The library.

She's also trying to look at who's in the area, so as to not get them caught up in the drizzling. She'll make an attempt to swerve out of the way of anyone who's passing by, which looks rather odd. Hm. ]

a teenager - 11th

[ There's a girl, somewhere between 15 and 16 years old, with long red hair roaming around. There are two people who currently fit this description, but the glasses give her away – this is not Diluc, this is Lucia. She's currently sitting under a tree in the shade, somewhere near town, pressing buttons on her phone. There's a disgruntled look on her face. Seems like she can't get something to work.

She ends up looking pretty huffy before she shoves her phone back into her pocket. Then, she rises to her feet and starts speed walking towards the shops. Where is she going...? ]

farming - throughout the month

[ Anyone who's passing by the Lucia-Gentaro forest farm may catch her outside at any given point during the day. She's getting to work on her farm, and there appears to be a small assortment of mushrooms growing! How nice. There's also a small patch of flowers that are also in the process of growing. Seems like things are going decently.

There's also a little calico cat that's roaming around outside, circling around Lucia at times. The cat will let out a little "meow" if she spots a visitor, and trot up to the newcomer. This will alert Lucia, and she'll turn to whoever's at her farm and stand up rather quickly. ]

I think it helps that I've gotten to know you a bit more than most people have, but yes, I can't imagine you playing around with people's feelings like that.

[ Especially after he said he would never treat someone terribly. Maybe she's too quick to jump to these conclusions, but Gaku's been nice to her thus far. ]

No. I take relationships and marriage very seriously.

[ Dating is different, as that's just getting to know someone, but relationships? That's serious stuff. ]

[ She really can't stand people who take that stuff lightly. Even casual relationships are something she doesn't particularly like. However, on the subject of taking marriage seriously...

She agrees, but she looks a little disgruntled about something. ]

I wish more people would.

[ He frowns, apparently sharing her sentiment. It's deeply personal. ]

I guess you have experience with people not taking it seriously?

Something like that. My parents. But...it's also kind of my fault.

[ He's genuinely curious, but it's hard to tell with his perpetual frown. ]

...I put a lot of financial stress on them, because I was a terrible child. They've been arguing on and off for a long time, now, even threatening divorce.

[ She's not proud of it. Any of it. ]

You were a kid. It's their job to be the responsible ones.

[ He opens up the little container of utensils he brought and takes out a pair of chopsticks for himself. ]

[ She seems to consider this for a second, but she doesn't know how she should respond to him. She's quiet as she follows suit and starts getting to work on her noodles.

After a moment: ]

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make things so depressing. It's just - that, along with some other things, have made me much more grateful to be here.

[ He slurps up some of his noodles, a thoughtful look on his face. ]

My parents actually did get divorced, you know.

[ She turns to look at him and lowers her chopsticks. ]

Yeah, it was a long time ago.

[ But it was definitely rough. He gives himself some time to think as he chews through another mouthful of soba. ]

I ended up staying with my dad so he could make money off of me as an idol.

...Was that something you decided for yourself, or was it his decision?

His decision. I only ever agreed to all the training I went through because he said I couldn't do it.

[ And there's no way he won't rise up to that sort of challenge. ]

I love it now, but I was only doing it at first because I wanted to prove myself.

But also, she's impressed. ]

Proving yourself... I'm glad you were able to do that. That sort of thing can really consume you if you're not careful.

[ She knows. Been there, fine that, still here, etc. ]

I'm glad I did it, but it was hell.

[ His instructors were tough, but he was determined to push through it. ]

If I didn't have my mom's side of the family, it probably would have.

[irresponsibly]

[ Idol training does seem like hell, with what little she knows about it. ]

Well, you made it. And you probably emerged stronger because of it, right?

Yeah, I think so. And I found my real passion too.

[ Thinking about that seems to brighten his mood at least. ]

I can arrange that! None of our songs are on the list, but I can find something similar anyway.
