🌱 The Cozy Kitchen is a very minimalist restaurant that is currently only staffed by Lucia Lee (Chef) and Noé Archiviste (server). There's a handwritten sign at the entrance that reads "INQUIRE FOR JOB OPPORTUNITIES, WILL PAY IN MUSHROOMS/GOLD".

🌱 The interior of the restaurant is earthy and filled with plants, but not too furnished just yet. There are three small, round tables for up to two people each, and a small menu, made up of Lucia's specialties.

🌱 The menu (as of 3rd day of Summer) has Lucia's signature stew, some corn chowder, fried noodles, fried rice, and chicken Alfredo pasta. Water, coffee and tea are also available, though they're nothing fancy at the moment and only come with cream and sugar. Payment can be either in gold (the town's currency) or in any sort of crops. Everything is probably a little underpriced.

🌱 Restaurant hours are Monday-Friday from 10am-3pm.

🎉 Grand Opening (Summer 3rd)

[ There is no fanfare or dramatic speech to announce the grand opening of Cozy Kitchen. It's a quiet opening, mostly because Lucia is too shy and anxious to really cause a ruckus about things, but there will be a note on the bulletin board: ]

NEW RESTAURANT: COZY KITCHEN!
GRAND OPENING IN TOWN!
PLEASE VISIT, TYVM!!! :)

[ Lucia can be found sitting on one of the round tables, anxiously awaiting her first set of customers... Whoever stumbles across this will be greatly appreciated. She's horrible about marketing herself, sorry. ]

[ Noé's actually quite excited about the customers coming in any second. He can see how anxious Lucia is though, so he brings her a cup of tea. It's served with a reassuring smile to cheer her up. ]

You did a really great job at arranging everything, I'm impressed!

[ He wouldn't be able to do it in a million years, but he can help now!! ]

[ Her expression softens when Noé approaches. She looks at him fondly and takes the tea – doesn't drink it, but the cup's in her hands now, at least. ]

Thank you... And thank you for your help, too. I'm really glad to have you on board.

[ He'll even get a smile for his efforts! ]

[ Forget money, forget turnips. That smile is the best payment and Noé wants to get a Lucia smile paycheck. ]

I'm here because I wanted to help, so there's no need to thank me, really.

[ There's no one around yet (or maybe Gaku is, who knows), so it's easier for Noé to lean in and kiss the top of her head. Encouragement kiss! ]

[ Aw, that's cute. It makes her smile, and some of her nerves seem to go away after he kisses her. ]

Oh, I hope people like it. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback so far, so I thought I should put my crops to good use.

[ She feels a little bad for making Noé and Gaku work for her (which is part of a business, girl, please), but she's glad there are people willing to help. ]

I can't wait to see your skills in action, too! I didn't know you knew how to be a server.

[ Gaku was the one who encouraged Lucia to open her restaurant, so it should be no surprise that he walks right through the doors during her grand opening. ]

Hey. I heard I could get something good to eat here.

[ She perks up when she sees him, and rises from her seat. ]

I was hoping to see you here, would you like something to eat? On the house, of course!

I would, but you should let me pay.

[ He smiles, looking around the restaurant. ]

[ She deflates a little, because she knows that Gaku will win if they fight over this. ]

...Okay...if you insist... Just a little, though. There's no need to give me too much gold or anything like that.

[ Stares at Ellis and his $30. ]

But I don't mind. And I want to pay you what you deserve for doing all of this.

[ Let him help!!! ]

So... why don't you get me your favorite dish?

[ Ellis will help Lucia will marketing by advertising in his store too. It's fine. But he's here, looking excited and looks around the interior when he walks inside. Then he waves almost frantically to Lucia. Hi!!!! ]

[ Ellis, you're a real one. But she goes over to meet Ellis with a wave of her own. ]

Hi, Ellis! Welcome inside. Thanks for helping me out, would you like something to eat or drink? It's on me.

[ Ellis nods to both questions, but he holds out $30 worth of gold to Lucia. He won't take no for an answer. ]

Wh- Ellis?!

[ Sir, she looks like she's about to pass out. ]

There's no need for that! Please save your money!!

[ Don't pass out, but accept his money. Here. He tries to take Lucia's hand so that he can shove this small bag of money into it so that the coins don't spill out. ]

[ Since M-21 has been living off of, one, the only restaurant in town and two, instant ramen, it probably should be no surprise that he pounces on that message right away.

Don't mind him poking his head in and giving the place a curious little sniff. ]

Hey. This open already?

[ Oh! A new customer. Lucia's definitely seen him around, but she hasn't spoken with him before. ]

Oh, yes! Hello, please come in!

[ And she'll hurriedly give him a menu for him to look at. ]

[ Fast... But he came because he was curious, so he glances between the menu and Lucia. Now he definitely feels like he needs to get something. ]

It's your place, right? So what's the best thing here?

Oh, well, I think the most popular dish is the stew... It was the first dish I made here, actually.

[ Therefore, it's her signature meal. That's probably the most comfortable thing she can recommend right now. ]

Ah, I'm Lucia, by the way. I think I may have seen you around, so it's nice to finally meet you.

Ah... yeah. Still haven't met everyone here yet.

[ Which is sort of embarrassing, with how small the town is. On the other hand, it's more people than he usually has to deal with personally? ]

[ As it turns out, taking care of animals on a farm is much more difficult than Hisui anticipated. Also, a lot more exhausting than it had any right to be. He'd originally headed into town to see if there were any supplies that could make his life a little easier, but he's so tired that he figured he could use a break.

And that's how he ends up stumbling upon a new restaurant in town. There's absolutely no way he's got enough energy to cook for himself, so he figures he might as well treat himself for once. He, of course, still has plenty enough energy to be as blunt as usual the moment he walks through the door. ]

Hey! This place open or what?

[ A new customer, and someone she's seen around, too! Nice. Lucia gives him a little smile and a wave, and gets a menu for Hisui. ]

Yes, yes, it's open! Please, come in and seat yourself anywhere you'd like. Thank you for stopping by.

[ Hisui makes his way to a table and all but falls into a chair, letting out a sigh. He's ready for someone else to bring him food for a change, so long as it isn't Kor. That kid can't even put together a crepe properly. ]

's the last time I try to be nice to a damn chicken...

[ She sets the menu down in front of him, and has a pen and notepad ready to take his order, even if the menu is quite limited. His grumbling grabs her attention, though. ]

...What happened with the chicken? If I may ask.
