[ On a very hot day in Summer 12, every house in Crescentview will receive an invitation to Ellis's place along with a map with directions tailored to each house. Better tell your housemate about it. Ellis has invited everyone to come over to his place. There will be an insanely long slip n slide that feels ridiculously slippery. In fact, it is not powered by water. It's powered by water-based lube. But don't worry, Fluffy the white adult samoyed dog can hose you down to wash it all off if desired. He will also accept pets and attention from those who feel awkward at parties. The dog will also go around once in a while to spray random people with the hose.

Anyway, there's also free food laid out on the table! From Lucia's Cozy Kitchen (and advertised as such), there are fried chicken, fried noodles, and spinach wraps. From Diluc's Dämmerung Bar & Winery, there will be this season's specialty: strawberry wine! There are many other food as well such as dried apple chips, crispy fruit salad, generic snacks... there's also soda and water for the people who don't want to drink wine.

The main attractions in the party seem to be the extremely long slip n slides--multiples of them actually--and there is a specifically longer slip n slide, but it's used as a game. There's a plastic stick at the end that you must get to and bring back without falling even once. Yes, your feet must be on the slip n slide. Beware, this one is even more slippery than the others. There is... an assortment of prizes to win. What are the prizes? Win one and find out.

Other than that, Ellis is also selling bottles of water-based lube. He knows some of y'all need these.

[ despite making an effort to get a bit further out of her shell, pyra still has a pretty fair amount of nerves when it comes to big social gatherings...which is why she's spending a pretty extended amount of time in the company of fluffy the dog, though she can't help but feel a bit betrayed that her attentive pets are met with a spray of the hose, leaving her dripping wet from head to toe. ]

the princess's secret slide

[ ......which, of course, is why she's curious about just what these slip-n-slides are covered with. it's not exactly water; it's a bit more solid than that? but the second she (very tentatively) takes a step onto the slide...

well, of course, she falls flat on her bottom, and slides right down to the bottom, leaving a complete mess of strawberry wine behind her...though, if nothing else, after she gets over her initial surprise, she does wind up laughing! ]

That was...pretty fun, actually!

the green on the vine like

[ as nice as the food and the drinks are, pyra seems to gravitate a fair bit towards the strawberry wine, in particular! it's not quite like the jenerossi tea she loves so much back home, but the fruity aroma and the touch of bite that it has make it pretty hard to stop sipping at her glass, once she's had her first taste of it.

on a totally unrelated note, there's a fairly extroverted redhead with bright pink cheeks walking around the party in the later hours -- tapping people on the shoulders with a dopey grin on her face. ]

[A fun summer party? Count Sylvando in for sure!! He's dressed for the occasion when he arrives...which is to say, imagine a summer alt for a fantasy JRPG gacha. It's very flashy with nice swim shorts and an open shirt to show off how well-toned he is underneath his typically modest attire. This is also a rare sighting of his hair being "down"- when not meticulously styled, it's loose and wavy. He figured his hair would probably get wet with water activities involved, so why bother styling it? He has it tamed in a low ponytail though.]

1 - slip n-slide

[This...seems like it'd usually be a kids' game, no? But that's not going to stop Sylvando from giving the slip n-slide a try! In particular, he goes right for the game version. After watching some of the others give it a go, he thinks he has a working strategy in mind. The lubrication makes this contraption very slippery, and he's a good ice skater, so...maybe the physics are similar?]

[After a rushing start, he manages to make the initial slide look easy as he makes his way toward the stick. Coming to a stop on this thing is another matter entirely though and he completely overshoots it, stumbling right into the grass.]

[After all of that excitement, Sylvando hoses himself down and spends the rest of the party hanging out and mingling, generally vibing with a glass of wine and a snack or two.
